2006 Bixby Chamber Raffle Winner Announced

The 2006 Dream Car Raffle kicked off ticket sales on June 22 and ended Friday, September 22. The winning ticket was drawn just after 5 p.m. by Bixby Police Chief Anthony Stephens at the City Hall in Bixby. Anticipation was in the air as ticket #722 was drawn from the bin.

The holder of the winning ticket is Denise Lollar of Bixby. Lollar bought two tickets and was extremely excited when Deb Marshall, Executive Director for the Chamber, called her with the great news. Lollar commented, “I have been joking with my children all month long that I was going to be the winner! And I was so shocked to find out I actually was.”

Tickets were sold for $25 each over a three month selling period. A total of 1,139 tickets were sold. The Chamber hoped to give away a 350Z from Jackie Cooper Nissan but needed to sell at least 2,500 tickets. Lollar won $10,596.50 (50 percent of the net pot of ticket sales less raffle expenses as per raffle rules).  “A family vacation is in the near future for us”, exclaimed Lollar.

Lollar was presented her check at the Chamber office at 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 28. Chamber Chairman Scott Mabrey and Vice Chairman Russ Smith, along with other chamber staff and members were in attendance for the presentation.

The Chamber also held a Last Minute Drawing for Chamber Members purchasing tickets during the last month of the raffle.  Jack Santee of Moyers, Martin, Santee, Imel & Tetrick won $100.

Scott Mabrey, Chairman of the Chamber said, “Congratulations to Denise and thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket. We greatly appreciate your support.” The proceeds of this raffle benefit the services and programs offered by the Bixby Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to the drawing, the tickets were audited by a representative of Jack L. Jenkins, CPA Firm to ensure accuracy.
