Hayden is a modern magician and mentalist. He has performed off-broadway in New York City and is featured on the latest season of Penn & Teller: Fool Us on the CW. Don't expect a flashy Vegas magic show - Hayden uses everyday objects instead of ornate magic props. His show combines magic, psychology, and audience participation into a fun, modern, and thought provoking experience that keeps the audience guessing! Nominated for six Tony Awards, including Best Play, The Song of Jacob Zulu tells the story of a young South African man accused of a senseless act of terrorism that claimed black and white lives alike during the height of apartheid. The play is transformed from a traditional courtroom drama into something approaching religious ritual by the power of eerily beautiful music from the “Greek chorus,” written by Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

Tulsa Community College Music and Theatre Departments Present Title of Show February 17-20 Tulsa Community College Music and Theatre Departments will present Title of Show (Clean Version) by Hunter Bell, Music and Lyrics by Jeff Bowen in person and livestreaming February 17-19 at 8pm and February 20th at 2pm at Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus Pace Studio Theatre. The musical will also be available to livestream from the comfort of your own home. For tickets go to https://tulsacc-theatre-vtpace.eventbrite.com/ or call 918-595-7777. The musical is directed by TCC Theatre Director, Mark Frank and the Musical Director is Laura Cowan. The musical follows, Jeff played by Drew Sears, and Hunter, played by Matthew Gwinner, two struggling writers, hear about a new musical theatre festival. However, the deadline for submissions is a mere three weeks away. With nothing to lose, the pair decides to try to create something new with the help of their friends Susan, played by Ana Nunez, and Heidi, played by Sophia Krist and Mary, played by Angeline LeLeux-Bajzek on the eighty-eights. With the cast in place, Jeff and Hunter begin a conversation about what to write about. Eventually, Jeff suggests they write about what to write about. They make a pact to write up until the festival's deadline and dream about the show changing their lives. [title of show] -- taken from the space on the festival's application form which asks for the "[title of show]" -- follows Hunter and Jeff and their friends on their journey through the gauntlet of creative self-expression. In the span of 90 minutes (with no intermission) they write and perform their show at the festival and learn lessons about themselves as people, friends, and artists. [title of show] is, above all, a love letter to the musical theatre -- a uniquely American art form -- and to the joy of collaboration.

Overlap camp is May 27-31 at Camp Egan! Our theme this year is "Unfinished." Living life as a Christian is like building a house. It’s a process full of steps and challenges. At each point of construction, there is a goal for that specific point that then fits into the larger concept of the house. This is also true for us as Christians. We are all an ongoing construction project and all of us are “Unfinished.” We may be at a different point of our construction process than those around us and that is okay! Through this camp, we want students to be able to find where they are in the process of following Jesus, as well as look to where they are going. Some may need to hear that they need to do a little demolition in some areas of their life to build a stronger more personal relationship with God. We also want them to know that unfinished does not mean stagnant. Our relationship with God should be ever-growing and ever-evolving. Wherever they are in their spiritual development, we want students to know that they are valuable and their relationship with God is worth the time and labor. Camp is $250 if you sign up by May 1 and is $300 up to May 16.

The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse Proudly Presents Play On! By Rick Abbot Tickets on sale Now! Call our Box Office 918-258-0077 to purchase tickets or Buy Online www.bacptheatre.com Adults $22, Child/Student/Senior/Military $20 The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is proud to present Play On! By Rick Abbot for two big weekends! August 5, 6, 12 & 13, 2022 at 7:30 PM and Sunday Matinees on August 7 & 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Playhouse located at 1800 S. Main Street in Broken Arrow. Play On! - One plucky community theatre is about to produce a show called Murder Most Foul, a new “murder mystery play” with the same title as an Agatha Christie novel but with no relation whatsoever. The director/theatre manager, Gerry, thought producing the play was a good idea since the inexperienced playwright has agreed to let the company perform the show for no charge. Gerry valiantly attempts to get the production ready for opening night. However, with opening night a mere four days away, the author decides to re-write the play, changing the actors’ lines and, worse still, adding a new character. The cast is having problems enough learning the original script, let alone learning any new lines and suddenly having to incorporate a new character. Even with the help of the stage manager and the sound and lighting technician, it seems as though the production is doomed! Anyone who has been involved in rehearsing a play will identify very strongly with the maxim “If anything can go wrong – it will.” When the author decides to give a speech on the state of the modern theatre during the curtain calls, the audience is treated to a madcap climax and a thoroughly hilarious romp. Play On! is a hilarious love letter to community theatre. So if you are up for an evening of light-hearted merriment, we hope you will come join us in the fun! We are pleased to welcome back director Stephanie Alecia Rose to the BACP. Stephanie has directed several successful productions for the BACP including Send Me No Flowers, Honeymoon at Graveside Manor, and War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast in 2019. She has assembled a dynamite cast of characters that we know will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter. The cast includes Ashe Buffington, Alyssa Burrow, Samara Cain, Gerald Carter, Amanda Ewton, Bob Knutson, Dom Laguan, Carol Palmour, Ruth Seefeldt and Stephanie Zongker. More information for this production can be obtained by calling the BACP at 918-258-0077. The BACP is located in The Main Place at 1800 S. Main in downtown Broken Arrow. “Play On!” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com. This production is made possible in part by grants from the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. The BACP would like to thank Standley Systems for being a sponsor for our 2022-2023 season. **MATURE CONTENT** CAROLINE RHEA joins creator CAROLE MONTGOMERY along with MISSY HALL and THEA VIDALE for an evening of side-splitting comedy live onstage in Tulsa! A show straight from the unfettered minds and uninhibited mouths of the funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy: the women who have seen it all! They’ve raised children both on and off the road, having club bouncers watch their babies while onstage. These women have stayed in comedy condos where you don’t want to use a blacklight on anything. They’ve been told women aren’t funny. Raw, smart, and unfiltered, this show will have you laughing out loud as these women tell it all! Created by Carole Montgomery, the hit SHOWTIME special premiered in 2019 as the network’s highest rated standup special. It made history as the first comedy special to feature six female comedians over the age of 50. Since then, SHOWTIME has produced two more hit specials with the most recent premiering in November 2021. “It’s a hit!” - The TODAY Show “These comedians don’t hold back!” - The New York Times

Our Creations in Studio K program is known for commissioning incredible new works from the most in-demand choreographers in the world. This season features Australian-born choreographer Craig Davidson who was originally scheduled to create a premiere on Tulsa Ballet in September 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic. Davidson’s International Choreographic Contest prize-winning pieces have been described as, “a breath of fresh air” and “explosive.” Nicolo Fonte, currently the Resident Choreographer for Ballet West, will be returning to Tulsa to create a World Premiere piece as well. Known for his unique choreography and highly developed fusion of ideas, dance and design, Fonte is no stranger to Tulsa Ballet with World Premiere pieces created here such as Axis Mundi(2012) and Love-Notes (2016). Ma Cong’s Melodia, performed by TBII, Tulsa Ballet’s second company, will return to the Studio K stage, juxtaposing the accomplishment of Tulsa ballet’s main company with the promise and talent of TBII.

Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. As an added bonus, art crawlers can take advantage of free museum and gallery admission while shopping later than normal business hours would allow. Hit the district early for dinner, or stay a little later for a craft cocktail best enjoyed on an outdoor patio.

Next Door Escapes & Entertainment Presents Christmas in My Hometown By Steve Cowen and Scott Brister The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is proud to present the ala carte production of an original holiday musical, “Christmas in My Hometown,” Dec. 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 4 and 11 at 2 p.m. here at the Playhouse 1800 S. Main St. Broken Arrow, OK. Rose Magness, the story’s matriarchal narrator, and songs, such as the show-opening “Because It’s Christmas,” the title song “Christmas In My Hometown,” and the heartfelt “Show Me The Way To Bring Christmas,” weave the audience through a menagerie of holiday emotions that spans three Christmases. The first act reflects how one person’s actions can impact an entire city during the holiday season. Rose invites the audience into her neighborhood as “The Doors of Christmas” are opened for a look into the lives of five families, and it all revolves around the neighborhood’s long-standing door decorating contest. "This is my first time working directly with the authors and composer of a show,” said Don Tabberer, who returns to direct his first show at the BACP in 20 years. “It's exciting to be part of the first production of this family musical. "I've spent the past 20 years in full-time ministry. Coming back to the theatre to direct this production seems like the perfect fit. I'm able to combine my love of theatre with my heart for ministry to bring the Jesus story to a new group of folks. “The show demonstrates how important it is for us to be aware and recognize that the people around us may or may not be in the mood for holiday cheer. The cast and crew have come together to bring this show to life because they all believe in its message." With the subtitle “A Story of Hope and Forgiveness,” the play is written by Broken Arrow residents Steve Cowen and Scott Brister and presented by Next Door Escapes and Entertainment. Other sponsors include Owasso Fence, First National Bank and Trust Company of Broken Arrow and Flippo Insurance. For reservations call 918-258-0077, or visit the BACP website http://www.bacotheatre.com Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors 60+, students through College and Military.
