Rhema Christmas Lights

January 1, 2024 | 5:30 - 11 p.m.

Join thousands of annual visitors at the Rhema Christmas Lights and witness over three million shimmering lights synchronized to Christmas music across 110 acres. This much-loved lights display in Broken Arrow began in 1982 and has been attracting visitors ever since. Experience the wonder of illuminated festive figures like a gingerbread family with lollipops and gumdrops, Noah's ark with animals, 3D angels and reindeer, a Christmas tree forest, a 50-figure nativity scene and more. Visitors to the Rhema Christmas Lights can drive through the lights in their own vehicle, get out of the car and walk around the park, or view the spectacular displays from a horse-drawn carriage. Don't miss the Rhema Park bridge, complete with over 90,000 lights draped across the bridge alone. Synchronized to both classic and modern Christmas music, these lights have delighted visitors of all ages. While there, enjoy concessions that include cups of hot chocolate, piping hot coffee or sweet apple cider while venturing into the displays. Popcorn, funnel cakes and other treats will also be available. Admission to Rhema Christmas Lights is free; however, donations are appreciated.

Garden of Lights

January 1, 2024

Experience animated displays and over 1.2 million shimmering lights at Muskogee's annual Garden of Lights. Drive through Honor Heights Park and view 130 acres of trees, bushes and water areas decorated for the holiday season. Rose and azalea bushes will be illuminated with color, imitating their natural state during the blooming of spring. This Christmas light display will also feature lighted displays of deer, squirrels and birds scattered amongst a wide variety of trees wrapped in lights.

New Years’ Eve Powwow

January 1, 2024 | 10 p.m. - 12 a.m.

Witness traditional Native American dancing at the New Year's Eve Powwow at the Muskogee Civic Center. The powwow kicks off at 1pm with gourd dancing until 5pm, followed by a supper break. Gourd dancing resumes at 6pm, and the grand entry begins at 7pm. Dance contests that will be featured at the New Year's Eve Powwow include fancy dance, straight dance, jingle dress and fancy shawl. Browse rows of arts and crafts vendors and encourage the kids to enter the Legacy Kid's Art Contest.

Hangover Ball

January 1, 2024 | 7:30 p.m.

Start off 2024 at Cain's Ballroom's annual Hangover Ball, located in the Tulsa Arts District. Assembled by American rock and country-alternative artist, Cody Canada, this year's lineup includes Robert Earl Keen, BJ Barham, Jamie Lin Wilson, Mike McClure, John Fullbright, Elle Gorman, Elysha Lemaster, Dierks Canada, Stella Hales and Wyatt Wilson. You won't want to miss out on singing along to these country favorites during New Year's Day.

First Day Hike at Tenkiller State Park

January 1, 2024 | 1 p.m.

Start the New Year off right with a First Day Hike through Tenkiller State Park in Vian. Meet at the Driftwood Nature Center for an easy, one-mile hike. Be sure to bring your binoculars, a camera, water and appropriate dress for a cool-weather hike. Afterwards, join park staff for hot chocolate and snacks.

First Day Hike at Keystone State Park

Mark your calendar for a visit to Keystone State Park on January 1 for a free guided hike. Visitors will meet at the park office at 10am for a moderate hike. Bring your leashed pets, binoculars, a camera, water, and appropriate dress for a cool-weather hike. The event is held in conjunction with the America's State Parks First Day Hikes initiative that will take place in all 50 states. First Day Hikes offer individuals and families the opportunity to begin the New Year connecting with the outdoors and staying active.

First Day Hike at Beatrice Area at Grand Lake State Park

Join Grand Lake State Park staff at the Bernice Area on January 1 for the park's annual First Day Hike. Meet at the Nature Center at 11am for an easy, one-mile hike along the paved Nature Trail. Be sure to bring your leashed pets, camera, binoculars, water, and appropriate dress for cold weather. After the hike, stick around the meet the animal ambassadors at the Nature Center. The event is held in conjunction with the America's State Parks First Day Hikes initiative that will take place in all 50 states. H2Oasis Float Center and Tea House “Sound & Stillness – Nurturing Our Inner Light

Welcome the New Year with a unique Soundscape Tulsa experience celebrating Stillness and Nurturing our Inner Light. Instead of rushing into resolutions, this event encourages embracing the slow pace of Mother Nature, finding stillness, and restoring in preparation for the gradual return of Light. Join us for a peaceful "Ceremony" (3-4:30 pm) designed to help your nervous system unwind from the holiday season and gently reset for the New Year. PLEASE BRING Mat & Blanket for your comfort lying on the ground.

Christmas in the Ville

January 1-2, 2024

Bring the whole family to Bartlesville for the Christmas in the Ville celebration. Guests can bundle up and ice skate at the Historic Train Depot and take advantage of photo backdrops like the 12-foot lighted ornament, a 28-foot Christmas tree and a sleigh. On select dates, Santa will even be available for visits while sitting in the big red sleigh. Throughout the winter season, visitors can stop in to watch a nostalgic evening movie in the park, play lawn games or take a carriage ride throughout downtown Bartlesville. During Christmas in the Ville, be sure to visit the ice-skating rink, complete holiday shopping and appreciate the festive decorations in Bartlesville.

Tulsa Winterfest

January 1-2, 2024

Tulsa during the holidays is a magical time of year! The city comes alive with Christmas festivities, and one of the highlights of the season is Arvest Winterfest. This event takes place in Downtown Tulsa, next to the BOK Center. Ice skating is the most popular activity at Tulsa’s Winterfest. There are a variety of other attractions available throughout the season. Visit the holiday market and ride the Winterfest Express on Saturdays. Claremore Lake Lights

January 1-6, 2024 | 6 p.m.

Claremore Lake Lights will return for the second year! Starting on November 22, residents and visitors can drive through the Claremore Lake Park and experience the Christmas lights and displays from the comfort of their warm vehicle. Lights will begin each night at dusk and remain on until 10:00p.m. through January 6, 2024. The Claremore Lake lights will begin at the Blue Starr Road entrance and displays will be featured throughout the park. Multiple photo opportunities will be available and visitors are encouraged to use the hashtag #ClaremoreLakeLights on social media to capture and share memories! There is no cost to enjoy the Claremore Lake Light display.

Bixby Historical Society Festival of the Trees

January 1-7, 2024 | 4 - 11 p.m.

The Bixby Historical Society Festival of the Trees opens Thursday November 23rd. The Lighting ceremony starts at 5:00pm with lights on at 6:00pm. There will be activities for all including hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows. Santa will be there to visit with children of all ages. We will be lighting up over 120 Christmas trees synchronized to over 15 songs. the trees will stay lite every night through the season and Santa will be there every Thursday through Sunday nights. Come by and visit the sugar Dome and the Grinch Dome where you can take a picture of your family. Enjoy a scavenger hunt as you stroll through the Christmas trees. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade & Celebration

January 13, 2024 | 12 p.m.

Travel to Muskogee for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade & Celebration. This event honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a parade featuring festive floats. Make it a full day with a 7:30am pancake breakfast at the Martin Luther King Community Center, followed by a worship service at 10am. The parade begins at noon on MLK Street, followed by a celebration at the community center where guests can enjoy a variety of food trucks and live entertainment until 4pm. Honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during this family-friendly event in Muskogee.

Tulsa Martin Luther King Jr. Parade

January 15, 2024 | 11 a.m.

Head to the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade through Tulsa to honor a legend and celebrate freedom with the community. This event grows every year and now includes hundreds of people with impressive displays of music and floats. The parade is organized by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Society of Tulsa, which has been organizing ways to honor Dr. King since they formed in 1979.

Nature Date

Take your Valentine on a nature date to Ray Harral Nature Center and create an EcoJar together! Bring a glass jar from home (or select one of ours) and as you’re walking hand in hand select items from the forest such as stones, soil, and moss to create a forever keepsake. Afterwards, visit our classroom to craft the perfect finishing touches such as tags, labels, or D.I.Y miniatures. Open to all ages and free to the public!

Daddy-Daughter Valentine’s Dance

Earth Day Celebration at Keystone State Park

Celebrate Earth Day, an annual event held in support of environmental protection, at Keystone State Park in Sand Springs. The park is celebrating this environmental holiday with a park clean-up event followed by an afternoon of eco-friendly activities. Join an environmental education session led by park staff, craft a seed bomb or check out the upcycled art contest during your visit. Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and bring work gloves and garbage collection tools. Bags will be provided by the park. As part of the Earth Day Celebration, kids under age 18 can enter the Earth Day Art Contest. Contest requirements: - Submit your art to your local Oklahoma State Park by 5pm on Friday, April 19. A winner will be selected for each age category including categories for ages 5 and under, ages 6-10, ages 11-14 and ages 15-17. Art may not exceed dimensions 8.5in x 11in., and Art must be made from recycled materials.

27th Annual Sand Springs Fireworks Show

The Sand Springs Parks Department took over hosting the annual event from the Sand Springs Sertoma Club, which held the fireworks show for decades. Attracting thousands of visitors each year, the Duck Creek Fireworks celebration is a true patriotic spectacular. Line the shores of scenic Grand Lake and prepare for an entertaining evening. Keep an eye out for the highly anticipated War Bird flyover, a loving tribute to the men and women serving overseas. Visitors can also view the airplanes up close and meet the pilots at nearby Ketchum Airport. The fireworks, beginning promptly at sun set, will be synchronized to patriotic music. Come to the Grand River Dam to watch the spectacular Grand Lake Fireworks in Disney. Spend the day taking in the sights, take a tour of the dam, swim, camp and enjoy the lake by boat. At dusk, make your way to Cherokee Area at Grand Lake State Park and enjoy this free fireworks show over the lake. Grand Lake Fireworks will take place between the two spillways on the Grand River Dam on Grand Lake O' the Cherokees, and the Grand River Dam parking lot at Langley will be open for people to park and enjoy the show. Show starts at dusk.

Celebrate the season at Vinita’s 37th annual Oktoberfest. Pay tribute to the fall season and German culture with dancing, cake walks and authentic German, Native American, Asian, Hispanic, Scandinavian, and American food at this seasonal event. Find something tasty at the church bake sale or place a bid on one of the unique baskets at the Spectacular Silent Auction. The festival will also have dozens of craft vendors, so stop by their booths and browse the variety of handmade wares for sale. When you’re ready to relax, head to the Entertainment Tent and enjoy live music featuring the Blaskapelle Band from Tulsa and the German American Society Dancers, plus local and area talent. Jump on your broomstick and fly to the Tulsa Zoo for HallowZOOeen. This not-too-scary event is suitable for all ages and attracts thousands of visitors to the zoo for trick-or-treating and Halloween fun. HallowZOOeen includes Goblin Stops where kids can pick up treats, carnival games at the Pumpkin Patch Playroom, special themed activities at the Royal Castle and Pirate Island as well as Haunted Train Rides around the zoo. Kids also love the Cross-Eyed Carousel and everyone is encouraged to dress up in creative costumes.

Dress up in your best Halloween costume for a chance to win prizes and interact with some of the ocean's most curious creatures from the deep during HallowMarine at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks. Trick-or-treaters of all ages can enjoy a safe, fun, indoor alternative to traditional Halloween activities as they follow the Trick-or-Treat Trail through the aquarium. World War II Hangar Dance

The Church Studio was built as a church in 1915 before Leon Russell added a state-of-the-art recording studio that would be used by legends such as Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty and more. In addition to the studio, this rock 'n roll landmark is full of artifacts and memorabilia from musicians' past. During the Trick-or-Tour event, guests who come to the studio dressed in costume will be given a free tour through this one-of-a-kind facility. Claremore Lake lights will return for the second year! Starting on November 20th, residents and visitors can drive through the Claremore Lake Park and experience the Christmas lights and displays from the comfort of their warm vehicle. Lights will begin each night at dusk and remain on until 10 p.m. through Jan. 4, 2025. The Claremore Lake lights will begin at the Blue Starr Road entrance and displays will be featured throughout the park. Multiple photo opportunities will be available, and visitors are encouraged to use the hashtag #ClaremoreLakeLights on social media to capture and share memories. Rhema Christmas Lights

Join thousands of visitors at the annual Rhema Christmas Lights and witness over three million shimmering lights synchronized to Christmas music across 110 acres. This much-loved light display in Broken Arrow began in 1982 and has been attracting visitors ever since. Experience the wonder of illuminated festive figures like a gingerbread family with lollipops and gumdrops, Noah's ark with animals, 3D angels and reindeer, a Christmas tree forest, a 50-figure nativity scene and more. Visitors to the Rhema Christmas Lights can drive through the lights in their own vehicle, get out of the car and walk around the park, or view the spectacular displays from a horse-drawn carriage. Don't miss the Rhema Park bridge, complete with over 90,000 lights draped across the bridge alone. Synchronized to both classic and modern Christmas music, these lights have delighted visitors of all ages. While there, enjoy concessions that include cups of hot chocolate, piping hot coffee or sweet apple cider while venturing into the displays. Popcorn, funnel cakes and other treats will also be available. Admission to Rhema Christmas Lights is free; however, donations are appreciated.

The event runs nightly from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. through January 1. Drawing nearly a half million visitors each year, the Rhema Christmas Lights display is a must-see holiday tradition. New and brighter energy-efficient LED lights decorate the 110-acre Rhema campus located at 1025 West Kenosha in Broken Arrow. Walking through the park and around the grounds, you’ll encounter whimsical scenes, including a gingerbread family surrounded by lollipops and gumdrops, a 50-figure nativity scene, and a synchronized musical display of trees and dancing snowflakes. Kringle’s Christmas Land

Rhema Christmas Lights

Join thousands of visitors at the annual Rhema Christmas Lights and witness over three million shimmering lights synchronized to Christmas music across 110 acres. This much-loved light display in Broken Arrow began in 1982 and has been attracting visitors ever since. Experience the wonder of illuminated festive figures like a gingerbread family with lollipops and gumdrops, Noah's ark with animals, 3D angels and reindeer, a Christmas tree forest, a 50-figure nativity scene and more. Visitors to the Rhema Christmas Lights can drive through the lights in their own vehicle, get out of the car and walk around the park, or view the spectacular displays from a horse-drawn carriage. Don't miss the Rhema Park bridge, complete with over 90,000 lights draped across the bridge alone. Synchronized to both classic and modern Christmas music, these lights have delighted visitors of all ages. While there, enjoy concessions that include cups of hot chocolate, piping hot coffee or sweet apple cider while venturing into the displays. Popcorn, funnel cakes and other treats will also be available. Admission to Rhema Christmas Lights is free; however, donations are appreciated.

Garden of Lights

Experience animated displays and over 1.2 million shimmering lights at Muskogee's annual Garden of Lights. Drive through Honor Heights Park and view 130 acres of trees, bushes and water areas decorated for the holiday season. Rose and azalea bushes will be illuminated with color, imitating their natural state during the blooming of spring. This Christmas light display will also feature lighted displays of deer, squirrels and birds scattered amongst a wide variety of trees wrapped in lights.

Rhema Christmas Lights

BROKEN ARROW—Get ready for the Christmas season at Rhema Bible Church! Starting at 6 p.m. on November 27, the campus will transform into a winter wonderland with horse-and-buggy rides, hot chocolate, popcorn, and a dazzling display of Christmas lights. The event runs nightly from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. through January 1. Drawing nearly a half million visitors each year, the Rhema Christmas Lights display is a must-see holiday tradition. New and brighter energy-efficient LED lights decorate the 110-acre Rhema campus located at 1025 West Kenosha in Broken Arrow. Walking through the park and around the grounds, you’ll encounter whimsical scenes, including a gingerbread family surrounded by lollipops and gumdrops, a 50-figure nativity scene, and a synchronized musical display of trees and dancing snowflakes. Concessions and horse-and-buggy rides open at 6 p.m. on November 27 and then at 5:30 p.m. each night through January 1. Walk-up concessions are available in the park. Claremore Lake Lights

Claremore Lake lights will return for the second year! Starting on November 20th, residents and visitors can drive through the Claremore Lake Park and experience the Christmas lights and displays from the comfort of their warm vehicle. Lights will begin each night at dusk and remain on until 10 p.m. through Jan. 4, 2025. The Claremore Lake lights will begin at the Blue Starr Road entrance and displays will be featured throughout the park. Multiple photo opportunities will be available, and visitors are encouraged to use the hashtag #ClaremoreLakeLights on social media to capture and share memories. There is no cost to enjoy the Claremore Lake light display. Before you head out to the Claremore Lake be sure to check out one of our local eateries! Hours: Dusk until 10:00p.m.

Polar Express Pajama Party

See the magic of Christmas come alive with a trip to the eighth annual Polar Express Pajama Party in Muskogee. This exciting event welcomes guests to the Roxy Theater, where they will receive their golden ticket. Indoor activities include a living manger scene, with live animals and character portrayals, musical performances, storytelling, “A Shepherd’s Christmas” audio-visual story, angel craft, coloring contest, tabletop games, the educational Farm Museum and Silo, fiber arts demonstrations, and Farm Store. Outdoor activities include winter yard games, Christmas lights, wagon rides, tours of the Bible Garden, and a sheep flock reminiscent of the first Christmas pastoral scene. Enjoy a peaceful moment of reflection as this age-old scriptural story springs to life in the Living Nativity. Final Manger Scene for the evening begins at 7:15. Plan on spending 1 – 2 hours for this Christmas experience. Christmas at the Farm will proceed even in the case of inclement weather. The Farm Store will be open, featuring a host of Made in Oklahoma crafts & gifts. Over 70 artisans provide unique hand-made items. Additionally, the shop features Shepherd’s Cross 100% natural wool and alpaca yarns and products. Farm produced food items are available as well as locally made food items. The store also features hand-made fair-trade products, returning 100% of the proceeds to the indigenous peoples that have made the products. Shepherd’s Cross is a Farmer’s Market Hub store, open year-round. Winter is walnut and pecan harvest season. Walnuts, pecans, and nutty treats will be available. As always, this event is donation-based admission. All proceeds benefit missions. Beginning in the 1920s, this highlight of the holiday season has delighted children of all ages. The whole town turns out for this annual event, featuring floats sponsored by local business, church, and civic groups. In addition to the classic cars and vintage fire trucks, enjoy horse-drawn buggies and real-life cowboys. Listen as the marching band plays holiday favorites and be sure to keep an eye out for jolly ol’ St. Nick and Mrs. Claus.

Claremore Christmas Parade

Join in the holiday cheer at the Christmas Parade in Claremore. This year's "Fairy-Tale Christmas" parade begins on Will Rogers Boulevard at the Baptist Church and snakes down to the Claremore Expo Center with plenty of decorated and lighted floats. Bundle up, bring a thermos full of hot chocolate and gather the whole family to see these festive floats. Keep an eye out for the big, jolly elf and you might even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus himself. The Christmas Parade features over 200 entries, and visitors to the parade also have a great view of downtown Claremore's Christmas lights.

Holiday Open House

Justin Echols: Romancing the Holidays

It’ll be a night of holiday favorites with love in the air as jazz musician Justin Echols presents “Romancing The Holidays.” There are two stories we all love: One where the hero is more than he appears and one where the hero rises from the ashes in such glorious triumph, that he shames the tragedy that brought him there. The story of Justin Echols is both! After a traffic collision during the Second Gulf War left Justin with permanent injuries, the United States Army and Oklahoma City Police Veteran began playing jazz piano. Five international tours, a debut at Jazz at Lincoln Center: Dizzy’s Club in New York City, and his honorable mention in Forbes.com, made the 2012 Jazz Hall of Fame inductee infamous. In 2018, Justin’s mind-blowing story was nominated for an Emmy which documented a quick rise from soldier and police officer to an international performing artist. In January of 2020 Justin was granted the South Oklahoma City Chamber’s Native Son Award distinguishing him and his legendary accomplishments. In December 2021 Justin was presented The Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Lee Allen Smith Legacy Award. Justin’s life narrative, unique piano stylings and smooth vocals combine to create an intriguing performance.

This year, we’re bringing you an unforgettable adventure filled with "The Magic of Christmas," where the spirit of the season comes alive in the most enchanting ways. As you ride a turn-of-the-century trolley, you’ll be treated to festive music, dancers, and surprise guests that will make this journey even more magical. You’ll be invited to step back in time and experience Bethlehem firsthand. Step off the trolley and visit the stable, where you’ll encounter Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus surrounded by all the stable animals. The Christmas Express departs from the Hub (12 W. Dawes) every 45 minutes, taking you on a journey that will end at the Bixby Historical Society. Once there, you’ll have the chance to meet and take photos with Santa himself, warm up with a cup of complimentary hot chocolate, and stroll through the enchanting Festival of the Trees! Join us for an evening where The Magic of Christmas surrounds you at every turn. We can't wait to share this special journey with you aboard the Christmas Express!

Christmas at the Farm

December 19-21, 2024

Come to this Christmas at the Farm at Shepherd's Cross, a working farm and Christian mission, to walk through a living, interactive nativity depicting the birth of Jesus Christ. Come, take a peaceful stroll back in time and enjoy live character portrayals, including over one hundred costumed participants. Live animals in the nativity scene include sheep, mules, donkeys, chickens, guineas and horses. The animals are housed in a real, working barn, as this event is an indoor nativity. This year, Christmas at the Farm will feature two drama performances: Elisabeth, the story of Christ’s birth from Elizabeth’s (John the Baptist’s mother) perspective and The Inn Keeper’s Wife, the story of Christ’s birth from the Innkeeper’s Wife’s perspective. These will be offered every hour. Shepherd's Shop will also be open during the event and will feature farm-fresh pecans, Amish pecan candies, baked goods and hot beverages, as well as festive Christmas and sheep-related gifts. A wide variety of unique Christmas items and handmade items will be available this Christmas season.

Tulsa Holiday Winter Circuit

The Tulsa Holiday Winter Circuit is held at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square in Tulsa. This AQHA-approved horse show features a full slate of Western and English events as well as roping and working cowhorse. Also included are the Versatility Ranch Horse classes that showcase the talents of a working ranch horse. Watch the graceful, well-groomed horses and talented riders as they display their abilities for the crowds.
