All-Star Team Roping is an exciting format that is designed by team ropers to put the contestants first. This two-day event combines the finest competitors of other rodeo associations to create an all-star lineup. Chili Bowl

January 7-13, 2024

The Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals at Tulsa Expo Square's River Spirit Expo is an annual competition for Midget Sprint Car racing. Held each year for over 30 years, these races attract over 300 talented drivers from around the world. Five qualifying night races lead up to the championship competition on Saturday. See cars race around the quarter-mile clay oval track and perform slide jobs that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Hours: Monday: 7:30 am - 10:30 pm; Tuesday: 9:00 am - 10:30 pm; Wednesday: 9:00 am - 10:30 pm; Thursday: 9:00 am - 10:30 pm; Friday: 9:00 am - 10:30 pm; Saturday: 8:00 am - 10:30 pm. Go Short, Go Long, Go Very Long

It's time to Go Short, Go Long, Go Very Long. This annual 5K, 10K, 25K and 50K is back again with distances for every level of runner or walker. All courses are along the paved River Parks Trail System in Tulsa and are very flat with the exception of one hill that is encountered once on the 25K course and twice on the 50K course. The 5K and 10K courses are very flat.

Daisy BB Gun Day

February 17, 2024 | 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Daisy BB Gun Day will be held at the J.M.Davis Arms and Historical Museum. Children through the ages of 18 may shoot in the Daisy Indoor BB Gun Shooting Gallery. The top marksmen in the age 12 and under category and ages 13-18 will win a custom-made Daisy BB rifle. Contest is free to ages 19 and under, and adults may shoot for a $3 per target charge. The adult winner will also receive a custom Daisy BB gun.

Muskogee Regional Junior Livestock Show

March 4-9, 2024

This show represents an educational project teaching responsibility, citizenship, compassion, health science and a host of other life skills through months of care by the exhibitors for their animals. Over 800 youths, ages 8 to 19, from Adair, Cherokee, Haskell, Mcintosh, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Sequoyah, and Wagoner counties will be representing with over 1500 animals.

Tulsa Dog Training Club Agility Trial

See trained dogs compete in a series of agility tests during the Tulsa Dog Training Club Agility Trial. Held at Tulsa Expo Square, this canine competition will feature athletic feats as dogs race through a challenging obstacle course. Handlers will guide their well-trained dogs as they navigate the course while battling against the clock, displaying their learned training, teamwork, concentration, and conditioning.

Okie Half Marathon

March 16, 2024

Make your way to Muskogee's Hatbox Events Center for the Okie Half Marathon along a flat, half-marathon course fit for runners of all levels. Join the 5K or half marathon to compete for a top spot in the male and female divisions. Runners and spectators can enjoy a warm meal from Mother Trucker’s BBQ Food Truck at the finish line. The Okie Half Marathon will be hosted in conjunction with the USA Track and Field Oklahoma Half Marathon State Championship. While sharing a course, top finishers of the state championship will be awarded separately from the 5K and half marathon. 7:45a.m., 8:00a.m. and 9:30p.m.

T-Town Half Marathon

March 30, 2024 | 7:30 a.m.

This March, save the date for the 5th annual T-Town Half Marathon. This springtime half marathon plus 5K starts and finishes in downtown Tulsa. The half marathon includes several miles along the banks of the beautiful Arkansas River. Each year the finisher medal for the T-Town Half will feature iconic downtown Tulsa architecture. The 5K is completely contested on downtown Tulsa streets, while the half marathon will be a mix of downtown streets and paved River Parks Trail. All entrants will receive a tech shirt as well as a great finisher medal. Post race food and beer for those 21 and over will also be available.

Claremore Kennel Club Dog Show

March 30-31, 2024 | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Head to the Claremore Expo Center and watch local and regional dogs showcase the finest qualities of their breed at the Claremore Kennel Club Annual Dog Show. With over 100 AKC Registered breeds represented and competing, there’s a category for every dog lover. Whether it’s terrier, toy, non-sporting, herding, working, hound, or sporting, watch as different breeds compete for the top spot in their individual category, then cheer on your favorite as they strut their stuff, vying for the coveted Best in Show title. Get ready to ride through one of the most fun distance events in Oklahoma during this year's Tulsa Flat. This unique bicycling event takes place on a 22-mile, out-and-back course, which is built on an old railroad line. There are no changes in elevation, making the track more of a mental endurance challenge, rather than a physical challenge. Whether you're taking on one of the shorter distances or making the full five laps on your quest to 100 miles, riders can move at their own pace. Once you've finished, join the party at the finish line with fellow riders enjoying food, drinks, and music. Take on this one-of-a-kind biking challenge and register for this year's Tulsa Flat.

Wanenmacher’s Tulsa Arms Show

The Wanenmacher's Tulsa Arms Show is one of the largest firearms shows in the world. This show features more than 4,200 exhibits including fine antique and modern firearms, knives, swords and accessories on display and for sale. General interest exhibits will include Western and wildlife art, bronze work, and jewelry. This Tulsa Expo Square show is international in scope, both in terms of exhibitors and spectators. Oklahoma Dressage Society Show

Southern Plains Mopaar Festival

May 10-12, 2024

Make your way to Bristow this May for the Southern Plains MOPAAR Fest. This three-day car show and race event will see vehicles of all kinds gather, cruise and compete against one another. First-day festivities include a cruise down Route 66 as well as a poker run. The following day, watch the cars compete in all-day drag racing followed by a car show and swap meet. Racing and swapmeet continue into the final day where the final awards will be given out. Don't miss this three-day auto extravaganza when the Southern Plains MOPAAR Fest returns for its fourth year. 

Breeder’s Invitational

May 11-25, 2024 | 8 a.m.

The Breeder's Invitational at Tulsa Expo Square is a can't-miss event for equestrian lovers everywhere. During fifteen days of intense competition with high stakes, cowboys and cowgirls come together and give some of the best cutting performances in the country and take their abilities to the limit. Rooster Days Rodeo

May 12-13, 2024

The Rooster Days Rodeo is an annual event coinciding with the Rooster Days Festival in downtown Broken Arrow. Come out for bareback bronc, calf roping, steer wrestling, bull riding, team roping, ladies breakaway roping, calf scramble, and both open and junior barrel racing. Watch some of the state's finest ropers and riders compete for money and prizes at this thrilling annual Western event.

Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo

Make your way to Claremore for all the excitement of the annual Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo. Rodeo events include bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, mutton bustin' for the kids, rodeo clowns and a dance following the nightly performance. See area cowboys compete in steer wrestling, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and more. Vendors will be on-site to sell Western wear and goods to the crowds. Pick up a cowboy hat and secure a spot in the stands for the Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo, an action-packed event you won't want to miss. Rodeo queens will also be on hand to lead the opening ceremonies.

78th Annual Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo

Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo is a fun time for the whole family ; from Mutton Bustin’ to Bull Riding there is something for everyone to enjoy! Gates open at 6pm May 24-26 with kick off at 7pm nightly. Enjoy Mutton Bustin’ and Calf Scramble, both for the younger cowboys and cowgirls, starting at 7. PRCA performances start at 8pm nightly. Concessions and beverages on site with numerous vendors offering handmade items of western ware and decor. Parking is located at Lantow Stadium at Claremore High School, with complimentary shuttles to and from Stampede Park. Shuttles start at 5:30pm nightly, and last trip from Stampede Park to the stadium will be 10:15p.m.

Tulsa Kayak’s Bassalon

Spend a day on Claremore Lake reeling in fish during Tulsa Kayak's Bassathon. The tournament invites anglers of all skill levels to compete for a small jackpot during this entry level competition. Admission is $20.

National Trails Day Guided Hike

June 1, 2024 | 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Join River Parks and Turkey Mountain for National Trails Day on June 1st. There will be guided hikes leaving hourly from the lower lot near the restrooms and Turkey Mtn Sign from 8am to 1pm. 6850 S. Elwood Ave. Thanks to Ascension St. John, the first 400 hikers will receive a special edition Turkey Mtn National Trails Day Water Bottle! Hikes will be approximately 3 miles and last 1.5 hours. Not recommended for those with mobility or breathing issues. There is some sections of steep grade and 100 feet (10-story building) of elevation gain.

Fishing Derby

Saint Francis Tulsa Tough

June 7-9, 2024

Saint Francis Tulsa Tough is an annual three-day cycling festival designed to promote fitness and healthy lifestyles while showcasing the beautiful city of Tulsa. Races begin Friday evening with a Men's Cat 3, Women’s Pro 1/2, Men’s 1/2, and Men's Pro 1 under the lights of downtown Tulsa’s Blue Dome Entertainment District. A spectator must-see, the races are fast and weave through crowded streets lined with bars and restaurants. With events for all skill levels in the historic Tulsa Arts District, Saturday is designed for the whole family with races, Gran Fondo rides of 40, 70 and a monster 110 mile, and more. On Sunday, events include the Tulsa Townie Ride, Gran Fondo rides of 40, 66 and 108 miles. Sunday's main event is the grueling River Parks Criterium, known to test even the most experienced racers. Running along the scenic Arkansas River and home of "Cry Baby Hill," this race distinguishes Tulsa Tough from other races. Winners of the team and individual omnium competition will be crowned after Sunday’s races. Pre-registration is required for all races and rides. Sunday also includes the Tulsa Tough Kid's Zone on Riverside Drive. The enclosed area will have inflatables, age appropriate toys and plenty of kid friendly activities. It is aimed at children ages two to eleven, and parents are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and snacks. You won't want to miss all the festivities and action this year, so bring the family and enjoy this top-notch Oklahoma event.

Bedouin Shrine Poker Run

If you're a car motorcycle fan, head to Muskogee's annual Bedouin Shrine Poker Run. With a ride starting and finishing at the Bedouin Shrine Temple, this car show will appeal to anyone interested classic or customized vehicles. Talk with the owners, grab a bite to eat in charming downtown Muskogee and snap some photos to remember this fun event.

Oklahoma Dressage Society Horse Show

The Oklahoma Dressage Society promotes and supports dressage, offering year-round opportunities and events. Pony of the Americas National Congress

July 5-12, 2024 | 7:30 a.m.

See the finest in the POA breed at the Pony of the Americas National Congress, held at Tulsa Expo Square. This nine-day event is full of equestrian activities featuring the popular, gentle, child-sized breed. Cheer the young competitors as they demonstrate their proficiency in different areas including timed events, jumping, bareback riding and barrel racing.

NRCHA Hackamore Classic

July 22-28, 2024

Nowhere in the world of equestrian sport will you find more spine-tingling action than in the reined cow horse arena. The finely tuned equine athletes will dazzle you with their athleticism, cow sense, courage, and finesse. The limited aged events in the National Reined Cow Horse Association are judged in herd work, rein work and cow work. While the ancillary horse show classes—hackamore, two-rein, and bridle—are judged in rein work and cow work only.

Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo

August 7-10, 2024

The Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo, a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo hosted each year in Vinita, will feature all the exciting rodeo events fans have come to expect. Grab a seat at this year's rodeo and enjoy the eight main events – barrel racing, bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, steer roping, calf roping, bull riding and team roping. Created in 1935, the Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo has become one of the biggest and best rodeos in the region, attracting top cowboy champions from across the nation and offering thousands of dollars in prize money. Tickets to the Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo are available in advance or at the gate. Don't miss the parade, hosted downtown on Wednesday, or the street dance, hosted every night of the event. Other festivities will include a calf scramble, the Old Settlers reunion, a stunning grand entry, hilarious performances by rodeo clowns and more. Make your way to Vinita for one of the most outstanding rodeos in the southwest United States and watch as world-champion cowboys compete for cash and prizes.

National Snaffle Bit Association World Show

August 8-18, 2024 | 8 a.m.

The National Snaffle Bit Association brings together horses and riders from all over the country for its annual World Show at Tulsa Expo Square. This competition of pleasure horse events includes horsemanship, equitation over fences, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, hunter hack and more. Riders and horses from all different classes compete at this nearly week-long event. The NSBA will offer all-breed classes and payout in excess of $1,500,000 in cash and prizes. NSBA World Show

August 9-18, 2024

2024 will mark the 19th NSBA World Championship Show. NSBA will offer all-breed classes over seven days and payout in excess of $1,500,000 in cash & prizes! In addition to the NSBA World Show classes, the NSBA Breeders Championship Futurity and Stakes classes are also offered. A trade show, comprised of commercial exhibitory and pleasure horse professionals, will be available to assist spectators during this week.

Will Rogers & Wiley Post Fly-In

August 10, 2024 | 7 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Come watch more than 100 small planes land at the Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch on the anniversary of Will Rogers' and Wiley Posts' Alaska plane crash. At the Will Rogers & Wiley Post Fly-in, meet pilots who land on the 2,000-ft grass airstrip located east of Oologah and bordering Oologah Lake. This action-packed event celebrates Will Rogers and Wiley Post's many contributions to aviation. Meet a passenger and pilot resembling Will and Wiley at this living history event. Bring your own lawn chairs, talk to the pilots, and see their planes up close. Other attractions include children's activities like giant inflatables, 19th-century games, a Cherokee storyteller, a classic and antique car show, food trucks and free tours of the Will Rogers Birthplace home and Amish barn.

Blazing Saddles Ride & Run

Blazing Saddles is a gran fondo style ride and kids bike ride. It is held to benefit Suicide Prevention, along with Coffee Bunker, Hope is Oxygen and Hope is Alive. Conquer the Gauntlet Obstacle Race

September 7, 2024 | 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Conquer the Gauntlet is a challenging four-mile obstacle course and adventure race that features over 30 obstacles. Held at 181 Ranch in Bixby, this event will bring you face-to-face with taxing obstacles like climbing over walls, crawling through mud, and slogging your way through water one to five feet deep. Conquer the Gauntlet will challenge you mentally and physically, but those who complete the event will be given a T-shirt and bragging rights.

By Your Side 5K & Fun Run

Enjoy a competitive 5K through beautiful Mohawk Park in Tulsa or opt for a lighter jog or walk with your four-legged friend during the one-mile Fun Run. Partake in a costume contest for dogs and dog owners, where participants will win exciting prizes. Each furry friend will leave this event a winner, as dogs will receive participation medals. Wheelchair and stroller racers are welcome and encouraged. U.S. National Arabian & Half Arabian Championship Horse Show

October 17-31, 2024 | 8 a.m.

The U.S. National Arabian & Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show, held annually at Tulsa's Expo Square, is the most prestigious Arabian horse show in North America. This nine-day show will feature nearly 1,800 Arabian, Half-Arabian and Anglo-Arabian horses, as well as both amateur and professional riders competing in a number of different disciplines. Riders and handlers will compete in several events including halter, working cow, cutting, sidesaddle, driving and English, reigning and much more. Visit Tulsa for this exciting event and browse tons of vendors, check out elaborate barn decorations and view the magnificent animals up close. Also, make sure to visit the mini-museum to increase your knowledge about the incredible Arabian horse.

Turkey Mountain Haunted Trails & Fall Festival

October 18-27, 2024 | 6 - 10 p.m.

Take a spooky stroll you won't soon forget on the Turkey Mountain Haunted Trails. Enter the ¾-mile-long trail full of twisted cedar, cobwebs, creepy-crawly bugs and gnarled oaks. Guests will experience the trails of this dark walk-through attraction filled with terrifying live actors, fun special effects and ghastly scenes that fully immerse customers into the spooky side of Turkey Mountain. Follow trail guides in small groups through 10-12 scare stations that focus on creating an extremely eerie and spooky atmosphere rather than the gruesome scenes of other haunted houses. Each tour is approximately 30 spine-chilling minutes and begins at Turkey Mountain’s main parking lot. This experience is not recommended for children under 12, the faint of heart or those with mobility issues. In addition to the Haunted Trails, this year's event will include a non-spooky fall festival for younger participants. The festival will include a petting zoo, bounce houses, carnival games and other family-friendly activities. Whether you prefer shocks and scares or fall carnival fun, there is something for everyone at Turkey Mountain this October.

Tulsa Run

Athletes and health enthusiasts have been gathering in downtown Tulsa the last weekend in October since 1978 for a fun and competitive run. One of the most historic runs in the state, the Tulsa Run has a reputation for being an exciting gathering that presents running in a festival atmosphere. Events include 2K run, 5K run, 15K run and a double challenge for athletes interested in running both the 5K and 15K. A finish line festival delivers plenty of fun before and after the race and post-race events include live music, food, and drinks. Race start times: 7:30am: 5K begins; 8am: 2K begins; 8:30am: 15K begins.

Color Breed Congress

November 1-9, 2024

The Pinto Horse Association of America presents the Color Breed Congress, a show exhibiting three separate horse breeds simultaneously. Participating associations in the show include the Pinto Horse Association, Palomino Horse Breeders of America, American Buckskin Registry Association, National Snaffle Bit Association, Ranch Horse Congress, and Long Ear Congress. In addition to seeing this variety of exciting equine competitions at Tulsa Expo Square, the event will include a trade show with vendors from throughout the state.

Wannenmacher’s Tulsa Gun Show

November 9-10, 2024

The Wannenmacher's Tulsa Arms Show is one of the largest firearms shows in the world. This show features more than 4,200 exhibits including fine antique and modern firearms, knives, swords, and accessories on display and for sale. General interest exhibits will include Western and wildlife art, bronze work, and jewelry. This Tulsa Expo Square show is international in scope, both in terms of exhibitors and spectators. Several collectors organizations will be present with outstanding exhibits and items to sell during this year's show in November. Hours: Saturday, 8:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.; Sunday, 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.

Arena Motocross Nationals

November 15-16, 2024

Experience two high-flying nights of motorized, adrenaline-pumping arenacross action. After kicking off the night with live music and a laser & lights show, watch transfixed as bikes soar up to 60 feet in the air. During the Hoosier Arenacross Tour in Claremore, riders will compete for cash prizes on a number of challenging jumps and fast-paced courses. You'll be on the edge of your seat in the Claremore Expo Center as you watch these amazing motorized feats, from the 450cc fire-breathing MX bikes and kid's 50cc minis to the UTV flips and FMX pro jump-off.

Route 66 Marathon

November 23-24, 2024

Run on the Mother of all Roads. The Williams Route 66 Marathon showcases the best of what Tulsa has to offer! Start your race in downtown Tulsa, home of the largest concentration of Art Deco architecture outside of Miami, and then make your way through Tulsa’s vibrant and diverse neighborhoods and the campus of Tulsa University. If there’s one thing you can count on at the Williams Route 66 Marathon, it’s tons of on-course support from the local community and plenty of fun. Our neighborhoods host block parties all along the course to welcome and cheer on the runners! The Williams Route 66 Marathon is a USATF certified course and a Boston Qualifier (see Boston Athletics Association for qualifying times).

Tulsa Dog Training Club Agility Trial

December 6-8, 2024

See trained dogs compete in a series of agility tests during the Tulsa Dog Training Club Agility Trial. Held at Tulsa Expo Square, this canine competition will feature athletic feats as dogs race through a challenging obstacle course. Handlers will guide their well-trained dogs as they navigate the course while battling against the clock, displaying their learned training, teamwork, concentration and conditioning.

Race Into the New Year

December 31, 2024 | 11 p.m.

Start 2024 off on the right foot during the Race Into the New Year event at Tulsa's River West Festival Park. This is a fun, safe and family-oriented way to ring in the new decade. Participants can choose from a one-mile fun run or a more challenging 5K. Grab a party hat and a noisemaker and enjoy live music, champagne, and a grand finale of fireworks at the stroke of midnight. Runners will not go home hungry, as there will be black-eyed peas, cornbread, cookies and other delectable treats.
