The Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals at Tulsa Expo Square's River Spirit Expo is an annual competition for Midget Sprint Car racing. Held each year for over 30 years, these races attract over 300 talented drivers from around the world. Five qualifying night races lead up to the championship competition on Saturday. See cars race around the quarter-mile clay oval track and perform slide jobs that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It's time to Go Short, Go Long, Go Very Long. This annual 5K, 10K, 25K and 50K is back again with distances for every level of runner or walker. All courses are along the paved River Parks Trail System in Tulsa and are very flat with the exception of one hill that is encountered once on the 25K course and twice on the 50K course. The 5K and 10K courses are very flat.

The Daisy BB Gun Day will be held at the J.M.Davis Arms and Historical Museum. Children through the ages of 18 may shoot in the Daisy Indoor BB Gun Shooting Gallery. The top marksmen in the age 12 and under category and ages 13-18 will win a custom-made Daisy BB rifle. Contest is free to ages 19 and under, and adults may shoot for a $3 per target charge. This March, save the date for the 5th annual T-Town Half Marathon. This springtime half marathon plus 5K starts and finishes in downtown Tulsa. The half marathon includes several miles along the banks of the beautiful Arkansas River. Each year the finisher medal for the T-Town Half will feature iconic downtown Tulsa architecture. The 5K is completely contested on downtown Tulsa streets, while the half marathon will be a mix of downtown streets and paved River Parks Trail. Saint Francis Tulsa Tough is an annual three-day cycling festival designed to promote fitness and healthy lifestyles while showcasing the beautiful city of Tulsa. Races begin Friday evening with a Men's Cat 3, Women’s Pro 1/2, Men’s 1/2, and Men's Pro 1 under the lights of downtown Tulsa’s Blue Dome Entertainment District. A spectator must-see, the races are fast and weave through crowded streets lined with bars and restaurants. With events for all skill levels in the historic Tulsa Arts District, Saturday is designed for the whole family with races, Gran Fondo rides of 40, 70 and a monster 110 mile, and more. On Sunday, events include the Tulsa Townie Ride, Gran Fondo rides of 40, 66 and 108 miles. Sunday's main event is the grueling River Parks Criterium, known to test even the most experienced racers. Running along the scenic Arkansas River and home of "Cry Baby Hill," this race distinguishes Tulsa Tough from other races. Winners of the team and individual omnium competition will be crowned after Sunday’s races. Pre-registration is required for all races and rides. Sunday also includes the Tulsa Tough Kid's Zone on Riverside Drive. The enclosed area will have inflatables, age appropriate toys and plenty of kid friendly activities. It is aimed at children ages two to eleven, and parents are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and snacks. Turkey Rocks is a 2-mile easy to moderate hike with multiple stops on established trails. Geologist, Steve King, will lead the tour and discuss features and the processes that created them. The most common fossils of the period will be seen and discussed. The features, processes, and fossils are evidence and chapters within the story of when and how Turkey Mountain was formed. This hike can be strenuous in places and is NOT recommended for people with mobility issues or children under 14. The hike will last about 2 hours. Limit of 2 tickets per order. We can only have about 10 people in each group hike so tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance. NO TICKETS will be sold the day of or onsite.

The Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo, a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo hosted each year in Vinita, will feature all the exciting rodeo events fans have come to expect. The National Snaffle Bit Association brings together horses and riders from all over the country for its annual World Show at Tulsa Expo Square. Take a spooky stroll you won't soon forget on the Turkey Mountain Haunted Trails. Enter the ¾-mile-long trail full of twisted cedar, cobwebs, creepy-crawly bugs and gnarled oaks. Guests will experience the trails of this dark walk-through attraction filled with terrifying live actors, fun special effects and ghastly scenes that fully immerse customers into the spooky side of Turkey Mountain. Follow trail guides in small groups through 10-12 scare stations that focus on creating an extremely eerie and spooky atmosphere rather than the gruesome scenes of other haunted houses. Each tour is approximately 30 spine-chilling minutes and begins at Turkey Mountain’s main parking lot. This experience is not recommended for children under 12, the faint of heart or those with mobility issues. In addition to the Haunted Trails, this year's event will include a non-spooky fall festival for younger participants. The festival will include a petting zoo, bounce houses, carnival games and other family-friendly activities. One of the most historic runs in the state, the Tulsa Run has a reputation for being an exciting gathering that presents running in a festival atmosphere. Events include 2K run, 5K run, 15K run and a double challenge for athletes interested in running both the 5K and 15K. A finish line festival delivers plenty of fun before and after the race and post-race events include live music, food, and drinks.
