Rhema Christmas Lights
January 1, 2025
Join thousands of visitors at the annual Rhema Christmas Lights and witness over three million shimmering lights synchronized to Christmas music across 110 acres. This much-loved light display in Broken Arrow began in 1982 and has been attracting visitors ever since. Experience the wonder of illuminated festive figures like a gingerbread family with lollipops and gumdrops, Noah's ark with animals, 3D angels and reindeer, a Christmas tree forest, a 50-figure nativity scene and more. Visitors to the Rhema Christmas Lights can drive through the lights in their own vehicle, get out of the car and walk around the park, or view the spectacular displays from a horse-drawn carriage. Don't miss the Rhema Park bridge, complete with over 90,000 lights draped across the bridge alone. Synchronized to both classic and modern Christmas music, these lights have delighted visitors of all ages. While there, enjoy concessions that include cups of hot chocolate, piping hot coffee or sweet apple cider while venturing into the displays. Popcorn, funnel cakes and other treats will also be available. Admission to Rhema Christmas Lights is free; however, donations are appreciated.

Garden of Lights
January 1, 2025
Experience animated displays and over 1.2 million shimmering lights at Muskogee's annual Garden of Lights. Drive through Honor Heights Park and view 130 acres of trees, bushes and water areas decorated for the holiday season. Rose and azalea bushes will be illuminated with color, imitating their natural state during the blooming of spring. This Christmas light display will also feature lighted displays of deer, squirrels and birds scattered amongst a wide variety of trees wrapped in lights.

Christmas in the Ville
January 1-4, 2025
Bring the whole family to Bartlesville for the Christmas in the Ville celebration. Guests can bundle up and ice skate at the Historic Train Depot and take advantage of photo backdrops like the 12-foot lighted ornament, an 18-foot Christmas tree and a sleigh.

Skate under the festive twinkle lights at Broken Arrow's only outdoor skating rink. Bring your ice skates or rent them directly on-site and glide across the ice under the pavilion at the Rose District Plaza. Winterfest

Downtown Tulsa is transformed into a festive wonderland during Winterfest, an annual holiday tradition. Bring friends and family together for holiday festivities and share the joyful spirit of the season. Experience the thrill of outdoor ice skating, see one of Oklahoma's tallest outdoor Christmas trees, take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, listen to live entertainment, and browse beautiful holiday light displays. Surrounded by festive nutcrackers, twinkling lights and a 44-foot tree decked out with 35,700 lights, the outdoor ice rink is located adjacent to the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa. Head to Third & Denver to enjoy carriage rides that will take you throughout the Winterfest area. Children and adults alike will also be treated to surprise visits from Segway Santa as he wheels his way around the main plaza at the BOK Center passing out candy canes and posing for pictures. Winterfest visitors will also be treated to concessions with all your holiday favorites and a holiday market with unique Made-in-Oklahoma gifts.

First Friday Art Crawl
January 3, 2025 | 6 - 9 p.m.
Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. As an added bonus, art crawlers can take advantage of free museum and gallery admission while shopping later than normal business hours would allow. Hit the district early for dinner, or stay a little later for a craft cocktail best enjoyed on an outdoor patio.

The Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals at Tulsa Expo Square's River Spirit Expo is an annual competition for Midget Sprint Car racing. Held each year for over 30 years, these races attract over 300 talented drivers from around the world. Five qualifying night races lead up to the championship competition on Saturday. See cars race around the quarter-mile clay oval track and perform slide jobs that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Western Hills Winter Bluegrass Festival
January 16-18, 2025
Come out and enjoy gospel and traditional bluegrass music during the Western Hills Winter Bluegrass Festival. Held over three days in January, this bluegrass festival is a fast-moving display of musical talent with a handful of bands showcasing their skills on the fiddle, banjo and guitar. The Western Hills Winter Bluegrass Festival, held on the grounds of the beautiful Lodge at Sequoyah State Park, will feature top bands from Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, and Missouri. A special all-gospel show will be performed on Thursday. Bring your favorite instrument and participate in jam sessions held in the hotel lobby. A variety of musical workshops will also be held throughout the festival, so get your ticket or a three-day pass and brush up on your bluegrass skills. Workshops will be held on instruments such as the five-string banjo, flattop guitar, fiddle, mandolin, dobro, and bass. Workshops on all bluegrass stringed instruments will be held Friday afternoon. Visitors must have a ticket to participate in all events. Stick around each night after the concerts are over for all-night jam sessions. All activities are held indoors, so this event will be held rain or shine.

The Darryl Starbird's National Rod & Custom Car Show at Tulsa Expo Square is a can't-miss event for automobile lovers. With over 1,000 entires, this car show is full of impressive classic and custom cars from across the nation. This event features the annual Rockin' Billy Bash, celebrating the spirit of hot rod culture with a do-it-yourself attitude. Peter and the Star Catcher Opens at TCC February 27-March 2 If you’ve ever wondered how Peter Pan learned to fly and gained eternal youth, all is revealed in “Peter and the Starcatcher.” The whimsical award winning Broadway play tells the backstory of not only Peter but also Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys, the villainous Captain Hook, a notorious crocodile and other figures associated with Neverland. The Tulsa Community College theatre production runs February 27-28, March 1 at 8pm and March 2nd at 2pm in the VanTrease PACE Main Stage on the Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus. Based on a 2004 children’s novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the play centers on a young orphan and his friends who are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island. At sea, the boys are discovered by a precocious young girl named Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training. She’s part of a secret society tasked with protecting a magical dust of extraordinary power known as “starstuff.” Their bravery will be sorely tested by a group of pirates led by the fearsome Black Stache — later to become Captain Hook. The play, exploring duty, love and the bonds of friendship, serves as a prequel to the classic Peter Pan stories by Scottish novelist and playwright J.M. Barrie. The 18-actor ensemble playing a total of about fifty gender bending roles in addition to occasionally serving as inanimate objects, such as doors and walls. The play is family friendly. Tiny Tulsa: An Accessible & Sensory Inclusive Free Play Program

Bring your child to Tiny Tulsa at The Gathering Place for a sensory-inclusive play experience. This program is designed for Pre-K through 5th grade students and their families. The event will feature low lighting, soothing sounds, creative toys, art materials, and adaptive play elements that will provide a welcoming space for everyone. See the ONEOK Boathouse transform into a tiny version of Tulsa with elements like a farmer's market, construction truck, post office, art studio, library and more. Tiny Tulsa is held three Saturdays in February and the first Saturday in March. The program is free and open to the public, and gives children with special needs a space to feel safe and play alongside others.

Florigami in the Garden

See the larger-than-life FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN exhibit at the Tulsa Botanic Garden. These monumental sculptures created by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box showcase 20 installations of metal sculptures inspired by origami, the centuries-old Japanese art of folding paper. These works of art take on the shapes of nature, including flowers, birds, grazing deer, galloping ponies, and more. The Oklahoma debut will also feature a 17-foot-tall kinetic sculpture of butterflies that will "float" above floral displays. Head to the Tulsa Botanic Garden between March 2 to September 21 to see this impressive and whimsical display for yourself. Monday through Friday, kids will enjoy a variety of Will Rogers-themed adventures that will be fun as well as educational. Kids will participate in historical demonstrations such as blacksmithing and quilting and participate in Aviation Day which will include flight simulation and a paper airplane contest. Later in the week, spring breakers can come to the camp dressed as their favorite movie character and enjoy a showing of "Night at the Museum" as they snack on popcorn. On Friday, campers will have a chance to showcase their own star qualities at the Mid-Afternoon Frolic Talent Show. Keep the kids entertained with this free, week-long event near Tulsa. Oklahoma Pinto Horse Association Spring Color Classic

The Oklahoma Pinto Horse Association held its first horse show in 1959. From the beginning, the purpose has been to promote and encourage the general interest and breeding of pinto horses, and to promote good sportsmanship and fellowship among the owners and lovers of pinto horses. OPtHA is an affiliate charter club of the national organization - the Pinto Horse Association of America, Inc. The Pinto Horse Association of America, Inc. was established in 1956 as primarily a color registry. Today the association has grown to offer four conformation types - Stock, Hunter, Pleasure, and Saddle. There is also a separate division for ponies and one for miniature horses. Two color patterns are recognized - Tobiano and Overo, as well as a Solid Bred division for animals who do not have enough white to meet color registry requirements. See the larger-than-life FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN exhibit at the Tulsa Botanic Garden. These monumental sculptures created by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box showcase 20 installations of metal sculptures inspired by origami, the centuries-old Japanese art of folding paper. These works of art take on the shapes of nature, including flowers, birds, grazing deer, galloping ponies, and more. The Oklahoma debut will also feature a 17-foot-tall kinetic sculpture of butterflies that will "float" above floral displays. Head to the Tulsa Botanic Garden between March 2 to September 21 to see this impressive and whimsical display for yourself. See the larger-than-life FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN exhibit at the Tulsa Botanic Garden. These monumental sculptures created by Santa Fe artists Jennifer and Kevin Box showcase 20 installations of metal sculptures inspired by origami, the centuries-old Japanese art of folding paper. These works of art take on the shapes of nature, including flowers, birds, grazing deer, galloping ponies, and more. The Oklahoma debut will also feature a 17-foot-tall kinetic sculpture of butterflies that will "float" above floral displays. Head to the Tulsa Botanic Garden between March 2 to September 21 to see this impressive and whimsical display for yourself. Germanfest

Dine on authentic German fare, listen to live polka music, and watch as skilled folk dancers grace the stage at the annual Germanfest in Tulsa. Tour de Tulsa offers routes ranging from 20 to 100 miles including a family fun ride with options ranging from 5 to 10 miles. Tulsa's premier spring community bicycle ride features good food, great rest stops, full on-road support, and friendly riders all along the way. The Tulsa Bicycle Club and Tulsa's River Parks host this fundraising ride. Proceeds from the Tour de Tulsa benefit the River Parks Foundation which enhances community life through stewardship of parks and public spaces along the Arkansas River. River Parks provides the region's premier public spaces for diverse outdoor experiences.
