Epsilon Sigma Alpha in Broken Arrow will be hosting their 44th annual Benefit Craft Show for October 29. This popular tradition, at Oliver Middle School, located at 3100 West New Orleans, is from 9-4 p.m. The show will feature handmade items from talented regional crafters, whose products you’ll be proud to display in your home or give as special gifts. Best of all, the philanthropic sorority’s proceeds will be donated to charities and nonprofits. Admission and parking are free, and hot food will be available. A silent auction and a book sale will add to the fun-filled day.
Alpha Rho Chapter members take pride in the responsibility to designate funding to groups in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area. Groups that benefit from the craft show include Meals on Wheels, Broken Arrow Neighbors, Oklahoma Schools for the Deaf and Blind, Clarehouse, Easter Seals and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
ESA’s more then 40 years of association with St. Jude Hospital provides significant money to a special institution leading the way in fighting childhood cancer. Great strides have been made there to find cures, and no family has to pay for treatment.
Several Alpha Rho members traveled to Memphis in March for “Thank You ESA Day” at St. Jude Hospital.
When asked about the experience, Eileen Wiley responded, “ I was so glad I went. I came away feeling like I needed to do more to raise money to benefit even more kids. I have heard about St. Jude all my life but never knew the whole story. What dedication these doctors and researchers have! When we toured the ESA Floor and learned what a major role our sorority played in helping Danny Thomas get his dream off the ground, it made me so proud to be a part of this!”
The ESA Craft Show is a great opportunity to enjoy some holiday shopping and at the same time help ESA support worthy recipients. Booths are numerous and varied every year, with a combination of returning vendors and new participants. Come have breakfast or lunch at the concession area, and browse among the wonderful shopping choices. From spooky Halloween décor to elegant holiday wreaths, from hand-crafted jewelry to unique wood and glass gifts, there is something for every shopper.
Booth spaces at approximately 8 by 10 feet, with a cost of $50 plus $3 for electricity are still available for this excellent ESA 44th Benefit Craft Show. We look forward to seeing you!
