Dr. Wanda Harris recommends CleanStart products for cleansing your body of toxins.
While many are thinking of beginning a new weight management program, Dr. Wanda Harris, owner of The Herbal Lady, encourages everyone to focus on more than just weight loss – focus on your health. “This is the perfect time to concentrate on doing more than just losing a few pounds,” she explains. “It is the perfect time to look at our overall health.” One of the best ways to accomplish this is to begin with a body cleanse.
“Almost everyone can benefit from going through a detoxifying and cleansing process,” Dr. Wanda says. “It is incredibly difficult to measure the exact levels of toxins in our body, so it is very important for people to know what symptoms we may have while experiencing a toxic overload.”
The main areas of our body that typically need to be cleansed from toxicity are the large and small intestine, liver, lungs, kidneys and skin. This includes your lymphatic system and your blood, which takes waste to and from the cells. “So many different problems that people experience health-wise can each be traced back to toxins within the body,” explains Dr. Wanda. And there are several symptoms you will experience if you are one of the many that could benefit from a cleansing program.
One of the first symptoms experienced is fatigue and an overall lack of energy.
Other symptoms include serious health problems such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. But these are just a few. “Many health issues that we have are all related to toxins within our body,” states Dr. Wanda. “Our bodies can try to take the impurities out of the blood stream and away from vital organs, but the impurities will eventually end up somewhere else in our body. It can manifest itself as arthritis, kidney stones, sinusitis, ulcers or any number of other problems.”
We pick up toxins from everywhere. They come from the food we eat, the air we breathe, the clothes we wear and even the products we use on our bodies, like shampoos. These toxic chemicals can include harmful metals, bacteria and viruses, parasites, yeast, fungus and mold. Daily exposure to these harmful items will cause them to accumulate in the body, creating stress on your organs and your bones and joints.
Of course, there are many ways for you to get your body back in balance and to get rid of these toxic substances. The first is in the food we eat. “If you feed your body with fresh fruit and veggies, eat fish that is high in omega-3 fatty acids, and make sure you get plenty of probiotics like those found in Greek yogurt, you are off to a good start,” explains Dr. Wanda. “And always remember that all artificial sweeteners and artificial flavors are toxic to the body. Organic sugar is the best choice for sugar, as well as Stevia and Xylitol.”
Dr. Wanda warns that even if we eat right, we still need the occasional detoxifying cleanse. She is encouraging everyone to take a look at a “wellness package” she offers that will cleanse and help the body support its natural process of waste elimination. “Our CleanStart program helps patients use a series of products that are each designed to increase the body’s ability to detoxify, and many find an increase in their overall energy after using the product,” explains Dr. Wanda. Included in the wellness package is: CleanStart, a cleansing and detoxifying program; Super Trio, a core nutrition program, which has Super Supplemental Vitamins and Minerals, Super ORAC, and Super Omega 3 EPA; plus Probiotic Eleven, a friendly bacteria that helps build your digestive and immune systems. Dr. Wanda does advise first-time users to start slowly and take a month to complete the process instead of the two weeks listed on the package. She takes the CleanStart product at dinner and then the probiotics at bedtime to allow them to work through the night.
