Always the first full week in June, the American Heritage Music Festival is June 6, 7 and 8, 2019. Early Bird tickets can be purchased before May 15 at Gallery Southwest, 10th and Main, Grove, OK, by calling 918-786-8896, or online at grandlakefestivals.com. Early Bird all event tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. All event tickets after May 15 are $30 and $15.
This Annual Music Festival celebrates our musical heritage with stellar entertainers and bands at the Grove Civic Center and Snider’s Camp. Thursday evening, 6:30 pm, June 6, the Festival opens at Snider’s Camp at with great entertainment, lots of fiddling, contests and jamming. The Kickoff Party and Jam promises a fun evening with delicious dinner by new chef this year, Dr. John Smith from Pittsburg, KS. He will serve your choice of grilled hamburgers, hotdogs or brats, plus chips and drink for $7. He will also provide delicious food throughout the Festival in the Civic Center. You don’t want to miss Dr. John’s BBQ!!! Prairie Breeze String Band will open the evening entertainment along with other great groups, the 30-Minute Band Scramble, and an Open Stage for all to take part. Bring lawn chairs and enjoy a lakeside dinner and free entertainment.
June 7 and 8 events fill the Grove Civic Center all day Friday, Friday night, Saturday and Saturday night. Daytime events start at 10 a.m. on Friday with picking contests for mandolin, flatpicking, banjo and dobro. Friday afternoon is full of fun competitions including Twin Fiddling, Hot Fiddling, and special entertainment. Grand Lake Festivals is honored to recognize our servicemen, as we present the OK National Guard Concert Band 7-8 p.m. followed by other entertainment on stage, and ending the evening with Bo Posey of Tulsa and a great dance band from 9-11 p.m. Dr. John’s BBQ Dinner will be served beginning at 5:00 p.m. $10 per person. There is no charge for admission to Friday night events.
Saturday events begin at 9 a.m. with ALL the fiddle divisions taking place on Saturday, and special entertainment throughout the day to be announced. Dr. John’s BBQ Dinner will be served beginning at 5:00 p.m. $10 per person. Saturday night features winners of the fiddle contest age divisions and the exciting Round Robin Play-off of the top 3 Open Division winners, as the Grand Champion winner walks away $1000! Evening entertainment includes popular Bones player, Barry Patton and Friends followed by headliner Jim Paul Blair, in “Buddy Holly and the Legends of Rock and Roll” with full cast and band. This show sold out the Bristow PAC and sold 690 tickets in another venue! Great music, great memories and

Fiddlers, musicians and music enthusiasts from across the US gather for this exciting Festival celebrating our nation’s musical heritage. Also featured are many vendor booths with artists and crafters coming together to display their one-of-a-kind works for sale on Friday and Saturday.
Grand Lake Festivals, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the arts and family entertainment to the Grand Lake area with the assistance of local and area sponsors and media, Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Grove Convention and Tourism Bureau, Cherokee Nation Businesses and Oklahoma Tourism.
