Artists Work to Benefit The Tristesse Grief Center

Over 25 acclaimed artists will feature their work to benefit The Tristesse Grief Center at the ARTSCAPE fundraiser.

Susan Bramsch, Michelle Firment Reid and Tishey Miller, ARTSCAPE chairperson, ­invite you to their fundraiser on April 25 benefitting The Tristesse Grief Center.

Over 25 acclaimed artists will feature their work to benefit The Tristesse Grief Center at the ARTSCAPE fundraiser at The Silo Event Center at Redberry Farm on Sunday, April 25, 2010, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Silo Event Center at Redberry Farm, just 15 minutes from downtown Tulsa, is located on the picturesque acreage which once was the homestead of Tecumseh Perryman, one of the many early settlers in what would become Tulsey Town. The event will include a live auction conducted by auctioneer Jay Litchfield, and a silent auction of art, vacations, personal chef dinners and more. Event patrons will be able to enjoy fabulous cuisine by Executive Chef Jeffrey Stark and live music by The Glyders.

“This event has a fantastic reputation of combining incredible art and wonderful festivities to support a very beneficial community service, The Tristesse Grief Center,” explains Tishey Miller, ARTSCAPE chairperson. “This is our seventh annual event, and we are excited to showcase some of Oklahoma’s favorite, talented artists.”

The Tristesse Grief Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create a safe, caring community where bereaved families know they are not alone; to provide professionally facilitated support groups, individual counseling and specialized programs for grieving children, teens and adults; and to be the primary community resource for providing comprehensive grief support, advocacy and education. Since its inception, the Center has provided services to those who are grieving, regardless of age, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion or cultural background.
