Project Back-to-School Runway

In a blog post by Sarah Edsall, who works with the communications team for Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (OBHC), and who has developed close relationships with multiple children from the organization’s four campuses, Sarah relates what she’s learned from her experience: “Every child who comes to live at OBHC brings with them their own individual personality, distinctive care needs and a unique background story. As different as they are from one another, every child I’ve met has something in common. They are good – no, GREAT – kids who are full of potential and hope for their futures. Unique Furniture Store Making Changes

Big change is coming to eastern Oklahoma’s unique southwest and western furniture store, The Refuge Lifestyle, located in Bixby at 7600 E. 151st St. The Taylor family-owned store is closing its second location in South Tulsa at 71st Street and Hwy. 169. “Our lease ran out,” Clinton Taylor Sr. explained, “and we’re taking advantage of this opportunity to make some big changes to our Bixby store. Pilates During Pregnancy

Beth West attended Pilates classes at Strength of Mind & Body for four years before she became pregnant with her first child. Rather than use it as an excuse to be lazy, Beth continued attending classes throughout her pregnancy and since giving birth to her son, Abraham, seven months ago. “Pilates helped me in so many ways before and after he was born. My job requires me to sit at a desk most of the day, and doing Pilates twice a week helped me stay active and gain a healthy amount of weight during pregnancy,” says Beth. “I also believe it helped prepare me physically and mentally for labor.
