Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. The Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo, a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo hosted each year in Vinita, will feature all the exciting rodeo events fans have come to expect. The National Snaffle Bit Association brings together horses and riders from all over the country for its annual World Show at Tulsa Expo Square. This competition of pleasure horse events includes horsemanship, equitation over fences, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, hunter hack and more. Witness seasoned craftspeople transform wood, ceramics, and other materials into works of art at the annual Woodcarving & Folk Arts Festival in Broken Arrow. For over 30 years, this event has celebrated the art of folk crafts and traditional carving practices from across multiple states. The 17th annual Sand Springs Murder Mystery Dinner will return to Case Community Center on Saturday, August 17, 2024. The show, starring members of the Sand Springs Community Theatre, promises to be an unforgettable experience for all who attend. The theme of this year's dinner is "Death is a Cabernet, Ol’ Chum.” This year's event promises to be the most exciting yet, with fantastic food, excellent entertainment, and a murder mystery that will keep you guessing until the end. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m., and dinner and the show will start at 5:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best 1980s attire. This event is perfect for anyone who loves murder mysteries, theater performances, and delicious food. Whether you're coming with friends, family, or colleagues, you're sure to have a fantastic time. Tickets are $50 and must be purchased in advance. They go on sale June 1st and include both dinner and the show. This year's event is expected to sell out quickly, so be sure to get your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Hot air balloons will fill the sky over Muskogee’s Hatbox Field this August during the Oklahoma Festival of Ballooning. This magical event will feature tethered balloon rides, balloon glows after dark and hot air balloon rides as contestants compete for the Oklahoma Hot Air Balloon Championship Governor’s Trophy. The Oklahoma Festival of Ballooning is presented by Muskogee Parks & Recreation Department with hot air balloon event management provided by Kansas City AeroSports. Additional support is being provided by The City of Muskogee, Muskogee Tourism and The Greater Muskogee Area Chamber of Commerce.
