The Broken Arrow Police Department is holding two community meetings to hear from the public on police services now and into the future. The meetings are scheduled for Thursday, April 25 and Monday, April 29 at Northeastern State University Broken Arrow located at 3100 New Orleans Street. Both meetings will be held in the Annex Room at 6:30 p.m. and are open to anyone to attend.
The community meetings will provide citizens with the opportunity to have a collaborative discussion regarding public safety concerns. Ultimately, the meetings will help the Broken Arrow Police Department develop a clear understanding of what the community expects in terms of field response and proactivity, including input on potential strategies to improve service delivery.
Potential issues for discussion could include:
"We are seeking input from Broken Arrow residents to help identify expectations that we can meet," said Broken Arrow Police Chief Brandon Berryhill. "The involvement of our citizenry is paramount to guiding BAPD as we plan for the future."
The meetings will be led by Matrix Consulting Group, with an introduction by Chief Berryhill. A Q&A session will follow the meeting. A video of the Monday, April 29th meeting will be published to the Broken Arrow Police Facebook and YouTube pages on Tuesday, April 30.
