The Owasso Medical Spa offers a diverse selection of appearance-improving services. A few include removing unwanted hair, reducing cellulite, eliminating sun damage and age spots, giving fuller lips, erasing wrinkles and fine lines, reducing stretch marks and decreasing redness. Many people, however, are unaware of the unique acne care program offered by Jack Lamberson, D.O., owner and daily on-site physician at the Owasso Medical Spa. The staff at the Owasso Medical Spa gives hope for people who have seen little or no results from acne medications.

Dr. Lamberson offers specialized programs for acne-prone skin. Patients of all ages have significantly improved the look of their skin with the program. The process for clearing the skin of blemishes is simple yet effective. Patients first have their skin evaluated by Dr. Lamberson and Alexa Richardson, a licensed medical aesthetician. Following the evaluation, medication is prescribed to reduce the amount of acne. Physical improvements are then made with a combination of facials and chemical peels to control acne.

The Fraxel® Laser, which has been approved by the FDA, can also be used for longer-term control of acne. The Fraxel® Laser is far more effective than traditional methods of clearing acne, such as the use of topical agents. The treatment resurfaces skin, eliminating scars from prior breakouts, and it makes pores more functional and controllable.

At the Owasso Medical Spa, patients are treated medically and physically for their acne problems, a method that sets Dr. Lamberson and his staff apart from other medical spas in the area. Spa Director Gina Holloway says, “We’re a medical spa, but we’re working into offering more dermatology care.” The Owasso Medical Spa currently is the only practice to offer dermatology in Owasso, also helping patients with conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Aside from acne treatment, the Owasso Medical Spa takes pride in the services it offers to make patients feel better about their looks. New dermal fillers are now offered to restore youth and improve the look of skin. Radiesse® and Juvederm™ both fill and correct smile lines and wrinkles while offering results that last longer than older filler treatments.

The Radiesse® treatment uses calcium-based microspheres that have been suspended inside a natural gel. A safe, minimally-invasive procedure, the gel is injected into the skin to support and stimulate collagen growth. Little to no downtime is required after the procedure, and results are instant. As the spheres gradually break down, the skin’s foundation is rebuilt, making results last over a year. Radiesse® lasts longer than older filler treatments, saving time and money. Holloway says, “It’s like a liquid facelift.”

Another new dermal filler, Juvederm™ is made through Hylacross™ technology. The result is an injectable gel with a smooth consistency, which is primary factor in the long-lasting, smooth look and feel produced by JuvedermTM. The gel is mostly used to add volume to skin and smooth the parentheses-like folds running from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth. Proven to be safe and natural, JuvedermTM uses ingredients that, along with collagen and elastin, are major components of the dermis connective tissue. Like Radiesse®, Juvederm™ provides long-lasting results and a more youthful look to each of its recipients.
