Get Involved and Help the Community

By: Catherine Heimdale | Category: In Our Communities | Issue: February 2024

Better Together in Rogers County is excited to announce two great opportunities for citizens to get involved with the community and make a difference in the lives of others.

Summer Youth Camps

The City of Claremore’s Park and Recreation Department’s Youth Program Coordinator, Ron Paris, is looking for people to work with the City’s Summer Youth Camps. The camps are in June and July and are open to youth from Northeast Oklahoma, ages 5 to 12. Anyone who has a particular hobby or talent to share with this age group are more than welcome to apply. For information, please contact Ron Paris, City of Claremore Park and Recreation Department at 918-342-2522 or email Ron at eat1@eau1eav1eaw1.

Joining Forces Conference

The annual “Joining Forces” conference, at remote locations across the state, is for both families and professionals. Coordinated by the Oklahoma Family Network, the goal is to come together, through enriching learning opportunities, fostering support for individuals and families, community members, agencies and organizations throughout Oklahoma. For information, visit https://oklahomafamilynetwork.org and use the search box in the top right corner to search for “Joining Forces.”
