Bixby North Elementary PTA is set to host its first Agora Spartan Craft Market to benefit Bixby North Elementary on Saturday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bixby North Elementary gym, located at 7701 E. 121st St. S. in Bixby.
The Bixby Agora Craft Market, “Agora” meaning Sparta/Greek for market place, will host more than 50 vendors at the first annual craft market. Vendors are coming from around the Bixby and Tulsa area to set up and sell everything from jewelry and candles to spring-time home décor, woodworking and kids’ apparel and accessories.
“We are so thankful for the participation from individuals and businesses in our community that are coming together to showcase their talent, skills and hobbies at the spring market,” said Amy Neilsen, president of Bixby PTA. “Our goal is to raise more than $2,500, which will go toward funding of teacher grants. Teachers are given the opportunity annually to write grant proposals to request items not covered by current public school funding that will enhance the classroom experience for their students.”
Participating vendors to date include: Bubba-Q-Boys BBQ Rub & Catering, Buds To Blooms, Scentsy, Velata, Bix Chix, Dimple Toes, Mialisia, His Floral Designs, Simply Splendor, Rhyme & Reason Bible Book Series, Decodoorz, Avon, Scissortail Bath Co., Your Word Cuffs, Paparazzi, Bows 4 Divas, Share Joy, Designs by Jewelee and Toy Sista’s.
“The spring craft market brings together interesting and talented small businesses and individuals who make and sell something that they are passionate about,” said Kristy White, co-owner of Bubba-Q-Boys. “We have two kids at Bixby North and we are so excited to help raise money for our school while doing what we love to do – BBQ! Our kids are excited to help out at our booth because they love BBQ and love their school.”
Admission is free to the public. Doors are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Goodcents will be selling sandwiches, drinks and other concession stand items.
