Drawing inspiration from color, theme, style, and more, participants will assemble a beaded personal accessory as an artistic reflection. No prior jewelry-making experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Participants will learn basic beading and wire-working skills as well as tool techniques and related vocabulary. Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo

The Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo, a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo hosted each year in Vinita, will feature all the exciting rodeo events fans have come to expect. Grab a seat at this year's rodeo and enjoy the eight main events – barrel racing, bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, steer roping, calf roping, bull riding and team roping. Created in 1935, the Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo has become one of the biggest and best rodeos in the region, attracting top cowboy champions from across the nation and offering thousands of dollars in prize money. Tickets to the Will Rogers Memorial Rodeo are available in advance or at the gate. Don't miss the parade, hosted downtown on Wednesday, or the street dance, hosted every night of the event. Other festivities will include a calf scramble, the Old Settlers reunion, a stunning grand entry, hilarious performances by rodeo clowns and more. Make your way to Vinita for one of the most outstanding rodeos in the southwest United States and watch as world-champion cowboys compete for cash and prizes.

National Snaffle Bit Association World Show
August 8 – August 18, 2024, 8:00a.m.

The National Snaffle Bit Association brings together horses and riders from all over the country for its annual World Show at Tulsa Expo Square. This competition of pleasure horse events includes horsemanship, equitation over fences, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, hunter hack and more. Riders and horses from all different classes compete at this nearly week-long event. The NSBA will offer all-breed classes and payout in excess of $1,500,000 in cash and prizes. A trade show comprised of commercial exhibitors and pleasure horse professionals will be available to assist spectators during the week.

NSBA World Show
August 9 – August 18, 2024

2024 will mark the 19th NSBA World Championship Show. NSBA will offer all-breed classes over seven days and payout in excess of $1,500,000 in cash & prizes! In addition to the NSBA World Show classes, the NSBA Breeders Championship Futurity and Stakes classes are also offered. Woodcarving & Folk Arts Festival
August 9 – August 10, 2024, 9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.

Witness seasoned craftspeople transform wood, ceramics, and other materials into works of art at the annual Woodcarving & Folk Arts Festival in Broken Arrow. For over 30 years, this event has celebrated the art of folk crafts and traditional carving practices from across multiple states. Other art forms represented include stained glass, mosaics, letterpress printing and much more. Artists of all levels can partake in seminars for beginners ages 13 and over each afternoon, or attend demonstrations and displays of various wood art forms. Judging for numerous categories begins Friday, and wood and tool vendors will also be present throughout the event. Explore the possibilities of wood and other folk arts with acclaimed exhibitors at this two-day event.

Scottish Club of Tulsa’s Pub Crawl

Spin-n-Knit-In

On the second Saturday of each month, drop by the farm to watch or participate as we fellowship and work hand crafts and fiber arts. Bring a craft to work on or come for a "free help session" with fiber arts such as spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, or felting. Shepherd’s Cross offers weaving and fiber arts classes year-round, on an individual or group basis. Shepherd’s Cross is an accredited Agritourism facility and a Made in Oklahoma Company that processes Animal Welfare Approved fiber (that is chemical free, hormone free, free range, all natural). Shepherd’s Cross hosts a mini wool mill, processing wool from their own sheep, raised on site. Heart of the Shepherd is the non-profit organization (501-C3) that operates at the farm and establishes wool mills in remote, impoverished areas around the world. Heart of the Shepherd teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming, and gardening. Shepherd’s Cross and their unique Country Craft Shop is open Tuesday through Saturday 8:30 – 5:30, year-round (closed some holidays).

Shark Dive Contest
August 10, 2024, All Day

Come see two lucky divers swim with bull sharks! Two lucky divers will swim with the world's largest collection of bull sharks! Both winners will be randomly selected, but one will come from Oklahoma while the other comes from one of the other 47 contiguous United States. The contest is held in association with Sharklahoma, a month-long celebration of sharks at the Oklahoma Aquarium in collaboration with the Jenks Chamber of Commerce.

Second Saturday Architecture Tour – Tulsa Underground: The Tunnel Tour

At the Will Rogers & Wiley Post Fly-in, meet pilots who land on the 2,000-ft grass airstrip located east of Oologah and bordering Oologah Lake. This action-packed event celebrates Will Rogers and Wiley Post's many contributions to aviation. Meet a passenger and pilot resembling Will and Wiley at this living history event. Bring your own lawn chairs, talk to the pilots, and see their planes up close. Other attractions include children's activities like giant inflatables, 19th-century games, a Cherokee storyteller, a classic and antique car show, food trucks and free tours of the Will Rogers Birthplace home and Amish barn.

Sand Springs Murder Mystery Dinner

The 17th annual Sand Springs Murder Mystery Dinner will return to Case Community Center on Saturday, August 17, 2024. The show, starring members of the Sand Springs Community Theatre, promises to be an unforgettable experience for all who attend. The theme of this year's dinner is "Death is a Cabernet, Ol’ Chum.” This year's event promises to be the most exciting yet, with fantastic food, excellent entertainment, and a murder mystery that will keep you guessing until the end. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m., and dinner and the show will start at 5:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best 1980s attire. This event is perfect for anyone who loves murder mysteries, theater performances, and delicious food. Whether you're coming with friends, family, or colleagues, you're sure to have a fantastic time. Tickets are $50 and must be purchased in advance. They go on sale June 1st and include both dinner and the show. This year's event is expected to sell out quickly, so be sure to get your tickets early to avoid disappointment. The Sertoma Club aims to help individuals with hearing and speech impairments, and the Murder Mystery dinner and silent auction is the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Oklahoma Festival of Ballooning

Hot air balloons will fill the sky over Muskogee’s Hatbox Field this August during the Oklahoma Festival of Ballooning. This magical event will feature tethered balloon rides, balloon glows after dark and hot air balloon rides as contestants compete for the Oklahoma Hot Air Balloon Championship Governor’s Trophy. The Oklahoma Festival of Ballooning is presented by Muskogee Parks & Recreation Department with hot air balloon event management provided by Kansas City AeroSports. Hello Fall 2024 is the Fashion Show & Fall Shopping event that you don’t want to miss!  On Saturday, August 24th from 10am until 12pm, downtown shops and boutiques will be hosting this wonderful event at 320 on Main.  There will be brunch, a fashion show, the fall shopping preview, swag bag, door prizes, and guest speaker Leah Hughes – Miss Claremore. Maker Faire Tulsa

Tulsa Reining Classic
