It’s the night before Christmas and Santa’s at his desk working in anticipation of his trip that night to bring toys to all the good girls and boys. When there is a knock at the door that will change everything!

This is the setting for “CASE 12-24:  The Cedar Tree Caper,” a Christmas themed mystery play written by local playwright Mark Ogle.  Ogle’s work has received international attention.

The Rogers County Historical Society will be presenting productions of “CASE 12-24:  The Cedar Tree Caper” Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9, at the historic Belvidere Mansion in Claremore, as their Fall Mystery Dinner fundraiser.

Special guest entertainment will be the comedy magic of Roger Cornelison, magician extraordinaire.  His floating table illusion is not to be missed.

Dinner (provided by The Pink House, an area favorite and house restaurant at the Belvidere Mansion) begins at 6 p.m., with music, magic and the play following.  Tickets are $50 and includes dinner and show.  Seating is limited and reservations are required.  For tickets, call (918) 688-0651.  All proceeds will go to the Rogers County Historical Society for the restoration and upkeep of the Belvidere Mansion.

“The cast is made up of some of the finest acting talent Rogers County and the surrounding area has to offer, if we do say so ourselves,” said Mark Ogle, the play’s director.

Audience members will have the opportunity to use their deductive skills to solve the mystery and try and win the very special Super Sleuth Award.  They are also encouraged to come dressed in Christmas attire.

Make plans now and call to make sure you have your reservations for this evening of dinner, music, magic, mystery and intrigue.  You don’t want to get on Santa’s naughty list by not calling.  He is making his list and checking it twice to see who is naughty or nice.
