Make sure to find Adam Baker at the airshow, grab his autograph and find out more about his back ground, love for flying and favorite performance tricks.
The Claremore Regional Air Show is back! The family-fun event is scheduled to return for the first time in ten years on Saturday, June 11. This event held at the Claremore Regional Airport is free, open to the public and the only one of its kind in Northeastern Oklahoma. The show will commence with a sky divers flag jump and will provide thrilling displays of skill. A military presence will be a feature of the show, both in the sky and on the ground.
The show is coordinated by David Shultz Airshows LLC. and a team of airshow professionals who travel worldwide to host these kind of events. The team has a collective 21 plus years of experience and over 400 aerial events.
Performer lineup for the Claremore Air Show includes: Kate Kyer in a Pitts plane, Steve Afeman in a T-6 plane, the Trojan Phlyers in two T-28 planes, Dave Leedom in an RV-8 plane, the Texas Twisters in six T-34 planes, Randy Harris in a Skybolt plane, Justin Lewis in a Micro jet which is the world’s smallest jet, Skydive Airtight, DWTA Helicopters and Adam Baker in an Extra 330 plane.
Adam “Shakenbake” Baker was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He attended Putnam City North and Oklahoma State University, graduating with a major in Aviation Science. Adam was a member of the Flying Aggies and competed at the regional level in various flight competitions.
Shakenbake is one of the most exciting performers in the airshow circuit today and is currently the youngest first generation pilot with a surface waiver, among the ranks of only 300 current airshow pilots actively flying at that level. Shakenbake showcases blistering, surface level aerobatics in the hottest airshow plane, the Playful Extra 330, which delivers extreme power and more maneuver ability than any aircraft in its class!
There will be more to the air show than the fascinating activities in the sky. It will be a day full of excitement and is guaranteed to make lifelong memories for each family member. Food trucks will be on site and there will be a Kid’s Zone with games, inflatibles, face painters, a Bomber train ride and more.
After appreciating each pilot’s unique and extraordinary flying skills and abilities and you can meet the pilots and get autographs after each performance. Vintage, High Performance and Military Aircraft plus the World’s Smallest Jet Airplane flown by Justin Lewis will be represented as each pilot exhibits individual flying skills and abilities. Affordable helicopter rides will be available for those who want more edge-of-your-seat thrills. Vendor booths will provide the opportunity to leave the show with memorabilia from the day.
Your Claremore Regional Air Show is presented by Visit Claremore, CIEDA (Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority) and the City of Claremore. Additional local sponsors include RCB Bank, Bancfirst, Melton Sales, Cherokee Casino-Will Rogers Downs and Hammett House.
