Bethlehem Walk

Admission: FREE We are pleased to again present Bethlehem Walk FREE for the 17th year To Tulsa and the outlying communities! STEP BACK INTO TIME and WITNESS the CHRISTMAS STORY Bethlehem Walk is a free 45-minute guided outdoor walk through Tulsa’s most exciting realistic Nativity! • Our cast of 150-200 members of Christview Christian Church are in authentic costumes and sets • Live camels, donkeys and sheep add to the greatest story ever told • This story unfolds in a beautiful authentic outdoor setting complete with a lighted path for safety Visitors participate in the walk to the nativity! Each guest becomes a member of a family that travels to Bethlehem to be counted in the census and pay their taxes. Guests encounter Roman soldiers, beggars, lepers, and even a host of heavenly angels along the road to Bethlehem. Each person has their ‘tax’ papers stamped before being allowed into the city, which is alive with activity. Shopkeepers that have wares to sample and dancers in the streets will welcome each guest. Hear of the birth of a precious child born in a manger as foretold by the angels. Learn the child’s life story. Living Nativity at Shepherd's Cross
December 10-12 & 17-19, 2015
Come to this Living Nativity event at Shepherd's Cross, a working farm and Christian mission, to walk through a living, interactive nativity depicting the birth of Jesus Christ. Come, take a peaceful stroll back in time and enjoy live character portrayals, including over one hundred costumed participants. Live animals in the nativity scene include sheep, mules, donkeys, chickens, guineas and horses. The animals are housed in a real, working barn, as this event is an indoor nativity. This year the Living Nativity will feature two drama performances: Elisabeth, the story of Christ’s birth from Elizabeth’s (John the Baptist’s mother) perspective and The Inn Keeper’s Wife, the story of Christ’s birth from the Innkeeper’s Wife’s perspective. These will be offered every hour. Shepherd's Shop will also be open during the event and will feature farm-fresh pecans, Amish pecan candies, baked goods and hot beverages, as well as festive Christmas and sheep-related gifts. A wide variety of unique Christmas items and handmade items will be available this Christmas season.

The annual Live Nativity event features costumed characters acting out the account of the birth of Jesus.This family friendly event even has live animals as part of the cast. Viewers are encouraged to dress warmly, as the display will be outside. At the end, guests are welcome to come forward and join in the singing of "Silent Night" and pet the animals. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served at the stable for everyone to enjoy.
