Gloria Pierce offers an enormous selection of dolls for all ages at My Doll Castle in historic downtown Claremore.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Claremore is a magical place filled with fairy tale princesses, adorable babies, cuddly teddy bears and high-fashion models – everything a girl loves! My Doll Castle has a huge variety of dolls, for everyone from infants to adults, and the selection is always changing. “We have new dolls arriving daily,” says owner Gloria Pierce.

Gloria has been in business for almost three years at My Doll Castle, and she has accumulated lots of friends and regular customers along the way. One of the reasons for her store’s success is the fact that dolls can be enjoyed for many different reasons. “People don’t always think of dolls as having multiple purposes, but they do. Of course they are perfect as children’s play toys, but they can also be used for beautiful decoration and given to others as meaningful gifts,” says Gloria. “Many of my customers will buy dolls to dress in their children’s or grandchildren’s baby clothes when the kids outgrow them, as a special keepsake. A lot of people also enjoy buying a doll and making clothes especially for her. Our new Masterpiece dolls are perfect for these activities – we have many dolls as large as 48 inches tall.”

A specially placed doll can boost a room’s wow-factor and take the décor from so-so to unique and interesting. “Rather than buy an art piece, you can buy a doll that blends in with your color or theme. You don’t have to be a doll collector to decorate with a doll,” says Gloria. With Christmas right around the corner, My Doll Castle has several holiday-themed dolls to decorate with. “One of my regulars recently bought two dolls to portray Mary and Joseph in her home’s nativity scene,” adds Gloria.

Dolls make wonderful and memorable holiday gifts. Gloria is excited to announce the newest addition to My Doll Castle, the Middleton Newborn Nursery, for the young “mommies” on your list. “The little mommies step into the nursery and pick the baby they want to give a loving home to. Then they fill out an application, answering important questions to make sure they’re ready for a new baby. The mommy even gets to choose a name for her baby and is given a birth certificate. All accessories they need are available as well – outfits, fleece blankets, hats, booties, diaper bags, strollers and more.”

Götz play dolls are another great gift option. They are designed to be as realistic-looking as possible, and even open and close their eyes. For the little ladies who dream of being fairy tale princesses, the store carries numerous princess dolls that make beautiful, timeless gifts. One of Gloria’s favorite gift ideas is the Lennon Sisters’ “Best Pals” dolls that come in a pink traveling suitcase. “Buying a doll at My Doll Castle truly gives you a variety and quality not found at any other store,” says Gloria.

Be sure to visit the store and discover the magic and joy of dolls; you’re definitely going to want some of that magic under the Christmas tree this holiday season! You’ll also find fun stocking stuffers, including musical snow globes, plush bear key chains and mini Precious Moments dolls. Layaway is available. Store hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, go online to www.mydollcastle.com or call Gloria at (918) 341-1413.
