Get ready for spring! You’ve survived the winter and summer of 2011, now join other like-minded gardeners on Saturday, February 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to plan your most successful garden ever.
Many of Tulsa Garden Center’s affiliated gardening groups will be participating to provide information and resources on specific plant topics. Environmentalists, horticultural experts and landscape designers are also expected.
During this event, Tim Shoemaker of Midwest Block & Brick will present a seminar, “Patios, Paths, Driveways and Retaining Walls.” Learn the different materials you may use to create a beautiful backyard with the perfect paths and patios, or create more usable space with a retaining wall. Attendees will learn proper construction techniques for either building it yourself, or to be more knowledgeable about what to expect prior to hiring a contractor. This presentation will be held in the Tulsa Garden Center Ballroom from 9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Call (918) 746-5125 or visit www.tulsagardencenter.com/education for enrollment details. Information will be available on Tulsa Garden Center’s variety of classes and seminars for the spring sessions, with the opportunity to register during this event.
