Don’t Learn by Trowel and Error

Attend Tulsa Garden Center’s annual Gardening Info Fair on February 18, 2012 for information on creating a successful garden.

Get ready for spring! You’ve ­survived the winter and ­summer of 2011, now join other like-minded gardeners on Saturday, February 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to plan your most ­successful garden ever.

Many of Tulsa Garden Center’s affiliated gardening groups will be participating to provide information and resources on specific plant ­topics. Environmentalists,­ ­horticultural experts and landscape designers are also expected.

During this event, Tim Shoemaker of Midwest Block & Brick will present a seminar, “Patios, Paths, Driveways and Retaining Walls.” Learn the ­different materials you may use to create a beautiful backyard with the perfect paths and patios, or create more usable space with a retaining wall. Attendees will learn proper ­construction techniques for either building it yourself, or to be more knowledgeable about what to expect prior to hiring a contractor.
