The 9th annual Soul Food Cook Off honors civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The 9th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Soul Food Cook Off is coming upon us. Nothing like smelling the aroma of the many dishes that will be in store for your taste buds. We are still looking for those outstanding cooks that can really throw down in the kitchen. We know how important it is to bring tourists to the city, so we have added another day for our tourists to enjoy themselves. We have two celebrity judges that have confirmed, waiting on an answer from three NFL players that want to participate. On January 14, 2013, PBS will be showing the documentary “Soul Food Junkies” on national television. This show was taped at the Dr. Martin Luther King Soul Food Cook Off in 2011. The City of Muskogee was highly promoted.
