If you have looked in the mirror lately and felt discouraged by the state of your skin, you will be encouraged to know there is hope and help for healthier, younger-looking skin in Tulsa. For the past six years, Emerge Medical Day Spa has been an oasis for personal growth and refreshment – a place “where beauty meets science” – and on Wednesday, January 9, the spa is extending an invitation to the public to experience the difference.
“Please join us for a SkinMedica Peel Event,” says Kelley Tompkins, owner and director of Emerge Medical Day Spa. “This is a great chance to come in and get a feel for who we are.” Appointments are now being taken for the event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature peels from the SkinMedica line of peels (with an upgrade to a Rejuvenize peel for $50 available). With a $100 reservation deposit (applicable towards the purchase of SkinMedica product packages), guests will receive a free peel (valued at $130 to $150).
“We are trying to get people started on a regimen toward healthier skin,” says Kelley. “And SkinMedica is very well known in the medical and aesthetics world, so this is very exciting.” Representatives from SkinMedica will be present at the Peel Event along with nurses and aestheticians. Guests will be able to ask questions, view before and after pictures, and have multiple avenues to get different answers to guide them in their skin care process. “People want to understand not only a product’s purpose, but also its cost,” Kelley points out. “This will help them understand the value in what they are getting.”
The Peel Event highlights only one of the many services offered at Emerge Medical Day Spa, and Kelley says that this will give guests a chance to tour the facility and learn about Emerge’s other services. Emerge Medical Day Spa is staffed with physicians, nurses, massage therapists and aestheticians, all highly qualified to advise and perform procedures designed to increase health, youth and vitality in the skin. Kelley notes that often people are overwhelmed when they view Emerge’s menu and see the wide array of products and services available, but she offers a word of comfort: “Our philosophy from the beginning has been simple: Don’t lie, don’t cheat, don’t steal – and don’t sell something a person doesn’t need.”
Belinda Stewart, R.N. and medical manager at Emerge Medical Day Spa, expands on this thought by encouraging clients to focus on treating a problem that is of top priority to them and then, after visiting the spa, decide if they want to pursue other personal skin goals. “A person might come in for a massage and after touring the facility, she finds out we do lasers and peels,” Belinda says. “Her positive experience here might make her feel ready to deal with other problems, like brown spots on her nose or face.” Belinda stresses that these ideas are initiated by the client. “We help the client set realistic expectations, and we don’t pressure them to deal with a problem that they personally are not concerned about.”
This type of personal care and commitment is of top priority to the staff at Emerge Medical Day Spa. Whether you are interested in massage, laser hair removal, or skin care on varying levels (from establishing a daily regimen to chemical peels to Botox™ to dermal fillers), the staff at Emerge can help you formulate a plan to reach your goals – and if they do not feel they can satisfy your expectations, they will refer you to someone who possibly can.
