Fall Into Surceé’s Open House

Surceé Home Décor & Gifts invites you to the annual Fall Open House September 8-10.

Surceé Home Décor & Gifts is hosting its annual Fall Open House September 8-10, and according to owner Laura Sanders, it is an event not to be missed! “We transform the entire store with tons of ­beautiful fall décor, including vintage Halloween decorations, autumn wreaths, and so much more,” she explains. “This time of year has become the most popular season to decorate, even surpassing Christmas. The colors and scents of fall make a home feel very warm and inviting, and you can use the decor for a much longer period of time.”  
    The open house kicks off Thursday, September 8 with Girls Night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Ladies will enjoy giveaways, discounts on merchandise, and yummy food. “The theme of the open house is ‘The Gathering of Friends,’ which is the name of a new line of cookbooks available at Surceé. We will have delicious homemade appetizers and desserts using recipes out of these wonderful cookbooks,” says Laura. The Gathering of Friends cookbooks were created to introduce “food as a love language,” enhancing traditions, fortifying relationships and celebrating life. These unique-style cookbooks combine savory recipes and elegant designs in many stunning gatherings. Each chapter will leave readers prepared with simple recipes, original tablescape ideas, a ready-to-use shopping list, and inspiration to create their own “Gathering of Friends.”
    The Fall Open House continues Friday and Saturday with more prize giveaways, discounts, and representatives from some of Surceé’s most popular brands on hand to talk with customers. “Our annual open house is always a lot of fun. Customers come to shop for unique items, but also to visit and have a great time,” says Laura. “We have been in business for eight years, and we really feel like our customers become our friends. We get to know their lives, their kids’ names, their personal styles. It’s truly a gathering of friends at Surceé.”
    One of the ways the staff gets to know customers’ personal styles is through their interior design services. “Customers can bring in photos of rooms in their homes, and we will help them choose items to make the room look its best. You can take the items home and try them out, and if they’re not what you ­envisioned, you can simply bring them back,” says Laura. “Our goal is to help make our customers’ homes beautiful, cozy and welcoming – perfect for the fall season.”
    To complete your home’s fall feel, Surceé offers the ­complete line of Tyler candles in delicious scents for the season, including Pumpkin Spice and Homecoming.
    In addition to the warm ­colors and rich smells, fall also means it’s time for some ­football! Surceé carries everything you need to look amazing for fall football games. “Our Game Day Boutique is full of game day gear for OU, OSU, and Owasso Rams. You’ll find T-shirts, jewelry, headbands, and our very popular OU and OSU dresses. A lot of these items you will not find anywhere else,” says Laura.
