Marti, Kelly, Christie and Jeanette welcome you to Twisted Soul Sisters.
When you walk into Twisted Soul Sisters, you automatically feel like you’ve walked into a sisterhood. One friend offers you something to drink. Another helps you find just what you’re looking for. It’s truly a unique shopping experience, and that’s what Kelly Corey originally envisioned for her shop.
The Bixby location has been around for the past six years, but Kelly and friend Marti Coleman started with humble beginnings several years prior, selling merchandise out of their garage.
“We’re best friends and everyone that works for us is friends too. So we are all soul sisters and we’re a little twisted,” Corey said.
“I was doing home design at the time, and we would come back from market with so much stuff for ourselves, like accessories and clothing, that we would kid about opening a store,” Corey said. “Not too long after, we started having home shows and trunks shows.”
Get ready for warmer weather with sassy fashions.
What started out as a joke almost a decade ago has blossomed into a thriving boutique.
“It kind of blew up into a full store about a year after we started. At the time, the American Pickers was really popular, and repurposing was really something that people were into. We would go to flea markets, estate sales, garage sales. We also started getting a lot of vintage jewelry and repurposing that.”
Today, Twisted Soul Sisters has evolved from repurposed designs to a trendy boutique. Many of the original finds are still on display in the store’s fun and funky décor that features some of the most popular and unique brands from Free People to Dear John denim.
“Our number one item is our denim. When a customer buys a pair she comes back for more, and she brings her friends and her friends’ friends and her sister and her mom. Everything is new; it’s not consignment. We try to be on trend as much as possible.”
Over the years, Kelly has expanded into home and gift items, including Mud Pie, Ever Ellis and Corkcicle.
“We love to find brands that are totally twisted just like we are.”
Twisted Soul Sisters has something for every woman, no matter what her style, personality or age.
“We want to be able to have all the girls come in, “ Corey said. “We really like all generations to be able to come in; from the granddaughter to the daughter to the grandma and be able to find something.”
The boutique’s fashions and gifts draw shoppers from across Oklahoma and even out of state. Corey believes Twisted offers the one of a kind shopping experience that brings repeat customers.
“To me, your entire shopping experience is just as important as the items you purchase. I want you to feel welcomed and have a special experience you will share with your friends.”
