“We specialize in lawn and landscape management,” says owner Andrew Martin. “We especially focus on landscape installation and maintenance, lawn maintenance, and tree service. We are competitive and diversified, and we try to be a one-stop shop for lawn care.”  

Lawns By Nature’s landscaping services include design, installation, transplanting, and maintenance, which includes flowerbed maintenance such as weed pulling, hedge and shrub trimming and pruning, soil cultivation, mulching, and the addition of seasonal flowers, flower pots, and arrangements. Lawns By Nature also offers mowing, spring and fall cleanup, leaf removal, debris hauling, and tree trimming, pruning, removal and hauling. Lawns By Nature services both residential and commercial properties. Current commercial clients include churches, nursing homes, hotels and car dealerships.

“We do extensive tree work,” says Andrew. “We’ll remove any tree or branch, and we’re always careful to save as much of the tree as possible. Because we are a landscape company, we clean up better than the average tree service company.

“We offer regular maintenance programs as well as one-time jobs. We work by the job, by the visit, or with a yearly contract. Whatever the customer wants. We're also available for people who are selling their homes. We can give your home curb appeal by making the yard eye-pleasing, so that buyers will be more inclined to look inside the house. Another great time to call us is when you're entertaining and catering to guests. We will take care of the outside of your home before the party  – it's one less thing you'll have to worry about. It's best to call us as soon as possible with these types of events," says Andrew.

Andrew has been in business with Lawns By Nature since 1997, but he’s been doing landscaping since he was twelve. “I really enjoy the creativity of landscaping,” he says. “I like to help our customers do something different, something that’s unique in their neighborhoods. We’ll check with the neighbors so we don’t repeat their style or colors.”

Sometimes Andrew’s children help him out on the job. “My son Miguel has helped for a long time,” Andrew says. “My daughter Anissa is five years old – she comes out dressed like a princess, and she’s not afraid to get dirty.”

Lawns By Nature emphasizes affordability. “If we install a flat of flowers, that includes materials, flowers, and labor, and our price will be the same as what some retailers charge just to sell you the flowers,” says Andrew. And with affordability comes products you’ll be satisfied with. “We want you to have plants that are going to thrive in this climate. So we install a lot of low-maintenance, hardy plants that tolerate cold winters and hot summers.”

Lawns By Nature promises to give you professional service. “We’re registered with the Better Business Bureau, and we have an A-plus rating with them,” says Andrew. “Our guys show up when promised, they call if they’re going to be delayed, they wear uniforms, and our trucks all have our logo on them. We go above and beyond what’s expected. We do thorough and complete work, and we encourage our customers to walk through the job with us and make sure they’re satisfied. Some landscape companies fizzle out in the summer, but we show up all through the growing season, even when it’s ninety or a hundred degrees out.”

Lawns By Nature is a member of the Better Business Bureau, the Oklahoma Nursery and Landscape Association, and PLANET, the Professional Landcare Network. April 22 is PLANET's Day of Service, which gives companies in the green industry an opportunity to give back to their communities. Lawns By Nature will be doing volunteer cleanup and landscaping at the Akdar Shrine Temple, an organization that provides disabled and burnt children with free medical treatment. "This is a wonderful organization, and we're proud to be helping them out. It's a win-win for everybody," says Andrew.
