When some see the name “Tile by Tony,” they may think only of ceramic tile. However, this company name means so much more. When it comes to any type of flooring, or kitchen or bath remodel, Tile by Tony has it all – high-quality products, expertise and service.
“Of course, if it’s tile, we do it,” says Tile by Tony owner Tony Sementi with a smile, pointing out that they offer every tile option available, including ceramic, porcelain and natural stone. “But we also specialize in kitchen and bath remodeling. We take care of all the details – tile floors and backsplashes, granite countertops, cabinets, lighting, sheetrock, painting and plumbing.”
Tile by Tony keeps a plumber on staff and works with local, reputable tradesmen when needed to make sure each project is completed to the customer’s satisfaction. “There is so much involved in each project,” Tony points out, “that we have added these services. These little things make all the difference for a job done right.”
Tony notes that the recent trend in home improvement is the conversion of the traditional bathtub to large walk-in shower. “As many people get older, they don’t want tubs anymore,” he says. “Bathtubs are too hard to get in and out of, and people don’t want to have to step over a ledge to get in.”
For kitchens, Tony has received a lot of requests for granite composite sinks. “These sinks are bulletproof,” he says. “They take a beating and continue looking great.”
When it comes to flooring in any part of the home, Tile by Tony offers every option imaginable. In addition to tile, they install wood flooring and carry a wide variety of carpet selections. Tony reports that in the last ten years, the carpet industry has made great strides in creating stain-proof carpeting. For instance, Tile by Tony offers a selection of Mohawk carpet that carries a lifetime stain warranty against soil, wine and pets – and is even anti-static. “You can’t always stop the dog,” says Tony, “but you can get a good, resistant carpet.”
Tony reminds everyone that the key to a lasting carpet is – and always has been – good padding. “People often overlook the pad,” he says. “But you can take an inexpensive carpet and make it feel really plush with a good pad—it is an inexpensive way of getting that high-end feel.” According to Tony, purchasing a sealed pad might increase upfront costs a bit, but it will end up costing the same or even less in the long run as it gives a few extra years to the life of the carpet.
Tile by Tony is committed to helping clients get the most out of every service they provide. They have been in business since 1982, and their commitment shows in the level of referrals and repeat business. “We provide superior service and knowledge,” says Tony.
