    For those who want to pump up winter blah skin, Touch of Sun is thrilled to offer state-of-the-art, ­age-defying sunless tanning. Called Versa-Spa, this is a full body treatment system that allows you to select from a combination of solutions that will not only bronze your skin, but smooth it too. Giving you instant color, this system creates a spa-like ­session that results in the healthy, natural look of ­sun-kissed skin. This is the ­perfect solution for last minute special events and for those that just want a little color every now and then.

    The next level of tanning is the Express bed. This is a 32-lamp, 15-minute ­maximum system. Utilizing this bed, tanners can achieve a good base tan by coming in every other day, and then can maintain their look with three to four visits per week.

    Perhaps the most popular choice is the Turbo Royal Sun 50 bed. This is a 12-minute maximum system and boasts 46 lights. “One of the reasons this bed is our most popular is the size of it,” states ­manager Megan Shelton. “It is very comfortable and has four high power facial lights as well. This bed helps you tan faster and it lasts longer.” Maintaining your glow is easy with this choice too. Only one or two visits per week is all that is needed.

Maybe you decide that one of the two high pressure choices at Touch of Sun is right for you. The Ultra High Ultra Bronze system creates a ­relaxing feeling, allowing you to lie comfortably on a ­mattress while enjoying a soothing vibrating massage. This bed is rated for no more than 24 minutes, 12 minutes on each side, and allows you to achieve a deep base tan in very few sessions. The other high pressure bed is an Ultra High UV Scan type. With less burning rays than other beds, this is a great choice for those with a busy schedule, allowing tanners to have ­significantly fewer visits and save time and money.

    The equipment is just one way that Touch of Sun sets itself apart from other tanning salons. “We always offer the first tan for free to those that want to just see if this is right for them,” explains Megan. “We are ­confident that when they try our equipment and see how clean and well maintained our salons are, they won’t want to go anywhere else.”

    Another perk is the ­training all Touch of Salon employees receive. They go through an extensive Smart Tan Certification program. This gives them the ­knowledge to explain to ­customers the history of ­tanning, how to properly care for their skin while tanning, and even talk about why skin tans in the first place.
