Owner Bret Mock welcomes you to Mock Brothers Saddlery.

Driving along Highway 412, just west of Sand Springs, is a humble red building. Unless you are looking for it, it is easy to miss. However, once you go inside, Mock Brothers Saddlery will soon be a landmark to watch for on all future drives.

Mock Brothers Saddlery was established in 1941 by the grandfather and great uncle of the current owners, Bret and Greg Mock. Originally located in west Tulsa at the stock yards, the two brothers were raised at the store. Brett recalls, “We were kept busy each summer washin’ saddles and swattin’ flies to keep out of trouble.”

In 1976, Bret and Greg’s father and uncle moved the store to its current location. By the mid-80s, Bret and Greg bought the business and became the third generation of Mocks to run it. The store has expanded over the years to provide a full line of saddles, tack and western wear. The store continues to maintain its reputation as the prime destination for all riders’ needs.
The Mock brothers are well known for their selection of saddles. There is a reason the store is called a saddlery – almost half the building is devoted to displaying and customizing saddles. Mock’s sells new and used saddles, and carries brands like Dale Martin, Billy Cook and HR. The Mocks even have their own line of saddles (also a third-generation endeavor). Whether you are in the market for your very first saddle or gearing up for competition, you can rest assured you’ll be riding secure. A while back, their store was featured on The Pioneer Woman’s blog when she brought her family to stock up. At the time, she wrote, “Whenever the guys or the kids get a new saddle, it usually comes from Mock’s.” Indeed, with the capability to customize any saddle to suit your needs or style, why would anyone go elsewhere?

Mock Brothers has a full line of western clothing and accessories, too. From boot to hat, guys and gals are sure to find what they need to look their best. The store stocks boots from trusted brands, including Anderson, Bean, Justin, Olathe, Twisted X, and Tony Lama. With sizes and styles for kids, women and men, the entire family can walk out ready to “cowboy up.” And, if you cannot find your exact size or color, you can count on Bret and Greg to order the perfect pair for your feet.

Are you in need of a good hat? Mock’s will make sure you walk out prepared to take on the sun and look good at the same time. They carry hats by Resistol and American Hat Co. in a wide range of styles, colors and sizes.

The Mocks have your body covered, too, with plenty of jeans from brands like Wrangler and Cinch. Women will be pleased to see Miss Me, Addicted, Rock & Roll Cowgirl, and Cruel Girl jeans in stock.  Parents can rest easy, as kids’ sizes are available too. A broad selection of shirts and tops for everyone, plus accessories like belt buckles, wallets and more can be found throughout the store.

Mock Brothers Saddlery is just 15 minute drive from Tulsa, and is worth the short trip. Bring the entire family in for a visit. You’ll be glad you did.
