For Halloween enthusiasts, nothing compares to the one-of-a-kind experience at the Castle of Muskogee, located at 3400 Fern Mountain Road, Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Castle’s Halloween Festival is a family-friendly event, running every Friday and Saturday evening from September 27 through October 26. With free admission to the grounds and parking, visitors can enjoy shopping, live entertainment, and unique experiences throughout the magical *Castle Village*.
Gates open at 5:30 PM, and the festivities kick off with the energetic Monster Dance, setting the stage for a night of thrills. Activities officially begin at dusk. Please note, children under the age of 16 must be always accompanied by a parent or guardian—no exceptions.
“This Halloween spectacular is unparalleled in its scope,” says Matt Hiller, co-owner of the Castle of Muskogee. “The friendly ghouls you meet at the *Monster Dance* are here to help you enjoy the night, provide directions, and answer any questions you have.”
New this year, the Monster Blaster is an interactive haunt designed for kids ages 5 to 12. Armed with blasters, young adventurers will navigate an 8,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor maze, chasing and targeting monsters. This thrilling experience is a ticketed event, sure to excite the little ones while offering family-friendly fun.

The Castle Village marketplace is home to over 15 vendors offering unique autumn and holiday treasures. From eye-catching costumes to mouth-watering food, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, and entry to the Village is free.
For those seeking more adventure, this year’s festival includes exciting new games like a climbing wall, axe throwing, Meltdown Extreme, and even an immersive escape room. Pony rides are also available for younger guests. Many activities within the Village are ticketed, so be sure to plan accordingly.
The Castle’s Halloween Festival caters to every level of fear, from zero-scare zones to truly terrifying attractions. The Enchanted Train offers a spooky but lighthearted tour of the grounds, while the Haunted Hayride—the second most popular activity—takes you on a tractor-drawn journey hosted by a live ghoul, ensuring every ride is unique. These are ticketed events. Free activities include the Bonfire Ghost Telling, where eerie tales are shared around a crackling fire, sending shivers down your spine in a cozy, family-friendly setting.
For those who crave a serious fright, the Castle has plenty to offer. The Trail of Blood remains the most popular haunt, delivering heart-pounding scares as guests navigate the eerie backwoods of Castleton. Other must-see haunts include Casa Morte, where asylum residents await your visit, and Domus Horrificus, a twisted realm filled with your darkest fears. Thrill-seekers won’t want to miss Jester’s Revenge, a sinister funhouse where nightmare clowns await in every corner.
Every evening as the sun sets, the Castle Village comes alive with the lively Monster Dance Friendly monsters roam the dance floor, inviting guests to join or simply watch from the nearby Crown Inn Pub. This zero-scare zone is free to enjoy and perfect for all ages.
Tickets for haunts, games, and rides can be purchased individually or in combination packages online at [okcastle.com], with prices ranging from $10 to $100. Tickets are also available on-site.
On October 4th, visitors can participate in a special canned food drive—bring two canned goods and receive a half-price ticket to a haunt of your choice (not applicable for combo packages or train rides).
