Home of Hope, Inc. is proud to present the 12th Annual Admiral’s Club Recognition Banquet and Charity Auction. The event is scheduled for June 4, 2016, at the beautiful Cherokee Yacht Club on Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees and will kick off at 6 p.m.
Home of Hope, Inc. is a non-profit organization which has been providing residential, educational and employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities since 1968. Since its humble beginnings, the organization has grown to provide residential, vocational and educational opportunities to more than 200 individuals in a six county region with 340 full- and part-time employees.
“The Admiral’s Banquet brings our closest supporters together once a year for a great time, an amazing meal, and a chance to bid on some incredible auction items,” said CEO Dr. Ralph Richardson. “Our guests know they’re making a real difference in the lives of more than 200 men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is a still a fundraising event, but this is really more like family getting together to do something that really matters for someone they love and care about.”
The organization is among those affected by recent budget cuts. Home of Hope will lose nearly $250,000 in funds this year and will likely face more.
“Given the statewide budget cuts that we are facing, we know how vital this fundraiser is for the people we serve. Our clients are among the most vulnerable members of our society, so the task of raising funds for them is extremely important to us,” said Marketing and Development Officer, Jessica Wilbourn.
This event is the organization’s largest fundraiser. Single tickets and sponsorship packages are both available for purchase. Sponsorships range from bronze with a donation of $1000 to platinum with a donation of $5000. Each package includes different features from number of tickets to special recognition. All platinum, gold, silver and bronze sponsors receive tickets to a pre-event “Admiral’s Club Reception”, hosted by this year’s Honorary Chairperson John Seals, previous Home of Hope employee and current Sports Director for Oklahoma Special Olympics. The reception starts at 5 p.m. in the CYC pool side meeting room. Complimentary wine and hors d’oevres will be served. It is also possible to contribute up to $1000 as a “crew member”, meaning you are unavailable for the event but would still like to donate. Single banquet tickets are $50.
