Hospitality House of Tulsa celebrated the beginning of its 19th year of providing a home away from home for families in medical crisis by hosting Hospitality Under the Stars- Fiesta! on Thursday, Sept. 19 in Camp Laughridge’s Temple Conference Center at 4900 W Oak Leaf Dr, Tulsa, OK 74131. Guests enjoyed a catered dinner from Aila’s Catering Events, Inc., a silent auction, wine and coffee pull, inspiring family stories, and special Latin performances from Bossa Nova and Forbes Dance. Jeff Brucculeri, well known Tulsa radio and television broadcaster and host of weekly talk show, "Tulsa Beacon Weekend," emceed at the event.
“Our Hospitality Under the Stars – Fiesta! was a fun and inspirational event this year,” said Toni Moore, Hospitality House of Tulsa President and CEO. “We appreciate our community of sponsors, donors, volunteers, vendors, and lodging partners who raised over $93,000 to support hundreds of families served at Hospitality House of Tulsa. At a time when more and more rural Oklahomans must travel to Tulsa for access to quality healthcare, Tulsa continues to lead in generosity and compassion. This event is critical to our mission and directly supports over 650 families traveling to Tulsa in a medical crisis. While the fiesta portion has concluded, the support needed for more families continues. We invite more Tulsans to extend hospitality through your gifts, time, and talents.”
Just eight days before their annual gala, Moore was awarded the Tulsa Regional Tourism Hospitality Champion Award as a nonprofit. This award was given in recognition of steadily growing their two compassionate medical lodging programs: Hospitality House of Tulsa and their new program, Lodgingly, which provides medical lodging within quality hotels near hospitals.
All proceeds from the event benefit families in medical crisis through Hospitality House of Tulsa. To learn more about Hospitality House of Tulsa’s mission visit www.hhtulsa.org or call (918) 794-0088 to schedule a tour of the facilities.
