As an Owasso resident with a corporate background, Ritchie began her business in November 2005 intent on being an efficient agency. “I want to help employers offer effective, affordable health benefits to their employees without wasting the valuable financial resources of their business,” she states.

Ritchie is 1 of 22 accredited agents in the state and solely in Owasso, representing O-EPIC (The Oklahoma Employer/Employee Partnership for Insurance Coverage). Through the program individuals, small businesses, the insurance industry and state government cooperate to insure Oklahomans.

Small businesses presently with 25 or fewer employees qualify for the health insurance coverage options. In October of this year the qualifying number will increase to those businesses having 50 or fewer employed.

Ritchie confirms that there are 852 people currently enrolled in the program statewide. “In Owasso, there were only three businesses enrolled as of June 1st,” she affirms.

The group services offered by Creative Insurance Solutions include recognizable health carriers such as Community Care, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, PacifiCare, United, Principle Financial Group, Starmark, John Alden, Assurant, and Coventry. In addition to disability and vision coverage, dental and life insurance are lines of coverage that are offered by the agency.

“Being an O-EPIC accredited agent in the state enables us to provide quality insurance providers to the qualified small business owner and individuals,” Ritchie includes. Highlighting her qualifications she adds, “My agency is appointed by nine of the top carriers in the state; upon requesting quotes from all nine carriers we find the best choice for you and/or your small business.”

Ritchie emphasizes that her role is ongoing once choice assistance is provided by her agency. “We participate by enrolling you with the carrier, following up with your company contact to assure that your needs are being met and we’re your businesses’ advocate to the carrier should an issue arise,” she clarifies.

Additionally Creative Insurance Solutions will assess the annual renewal from your carrier. Ritchie comments, “If we feel the renewal is too high we shop the insurance market for better rates and discuss those with you.”

“The group insurance services are a great fit for a variety of small businesses,” according to Ritchie. Potentially benefiting from her solutions are: restaurants, convenience store owners, automobile dealerships, direct mailers, motel operators, and small franchises.

Ritchie is equally prepared to offer her agency services to individuals seeking better insurance solutions.

She also clarifies that the business owner/employer’s primary agreement is with O-EPIC. “There’s no connection between O-EPIC and the insurance carrier; basically the employee is the connection point,” she states.
