Shop for your Valentine and find a flirtatious date ensemble at one of downtown Claremore’s finest boutiques.

The District on Main in Claremore is gearing up for the Valentine’s Day with several specials, great gift ideas and perfect date-night outfits. The trendy boutique in downtown Claremore offers everything from home décor to clothes and shoes to purses and jewelry. Additionally, owners Susan Todd and Cari Bohannan just returned from market with new ideas and inventory sure to fit anyone’s style and budget.  

    “We are really excited about the new spring items we are receiving from our existing lines, as well as picking up some new brands,” said Bohannan. “We are confident our customers will be pleased with the growing selection they will find in the store.”

    One of those new brands that will be coming soon to the inventory of The District on Main is the Southern Fashion House clothing line recently announced by Missy Robertson, wife of Duck Dynasty’s Jase Robertson. Robertson describes this line as a great option “for busy, working moms who want to look put together without having to put a lot of effort into it while staying modest and age-appropriate.”  

    The new line mixes vibrant colors and patterns with slightly longer hemlines, varying sleeve options and shapes resulting in contemporary fashion reflective of the fun new styles found in the junior section of department stores, but with silhouettes intended to flatter women of all ages, shapes and sizes.

    An expansion of the Tribal, Ivy Jane and Brighton lines also offers limitless gift potential. Tribal offers great wardrobe options featuring superior design and quality. The unique Ivy Jane clothing line is a mix of bright and colorful, quirky and fun, or romantic and classic. The Brighton line includes charms and beads, earrings and watches, purses and bags, and now shoes as well.

    Todd and Bohannan promise to have lots of dresses in stock for that perfect date-night outfit. “Last year around this time, we had a lot of ladies coming in looking for dresses to wear on their Valentine’s dates,” said Todd. “We ordered a lot of new styles and colors in to make sure we have plenty of options in the store to meet this year’s needs.”

    In addition to their popular clothing lines, The District on Main has a terrific assortment of accessories, gift items and home décor. Other featured brands include Fossil, Miss Me, Lane Boots, Mud Pie, Grazie Footwear, Harley & Maudes and many more.  

    “Now is also a great time to start thinking of those spring projects you’d like to complete,” said Todd. “We still carry the Maison Blanche Paints for those interested in refurbishing furniture.”

    As the boutique has expanded the accessory items and clothing lines it carries, and recently undergone a name change, it has also had to complete some remodeling to accommodate the new needs. Some of the most recent changes include new shelving near the front of the store and an expansion of the dressing rooms in the back.

    “We have been very blessed with a growing boutique,” said Bohannan. “We believe it is our level of customer service that sets us apart and keeps people coming back. We truly hope each customer has an opportunity to feel better about themselves by coming through our door.”

    The District on Main each weekday at 10 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays it closes at 5:30 p.m., but Thursdays the boutique stays open late to serve customers until 7 p.m. It is also open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. For information on items available in the store or current sales and specials, search Facebook for The District on Main.
