Lee Lamb, owner of Lifestylz Fitness in Tulsa, offers personal training services for a variety of fitness goals, including weight loss, muscle gain, and general health and fitness.
Autumn is just around the corner, and now – since it’s no longer too hot to think straight – is the perfect time to get into a fitness routine, or if you already exercise regularly, to amp up your workouts. Lifestylz Fitness offers private personal training for people of any age, gender and fitness level. Personal trainer Lee Lamb, a former Marine, has the knowledge, skills and personality to get you motivated for success and seeing results in no time. He has trained with everyone from first-time exercisers to NFL players. “The most important factor in choosing a trainer is finding someone who knows what they’re doing,” says Lee.
Lee also emphasizes quality customer service and having fun while you get into shape. “I take the work out of working out. If you didn’t laugh during the training session, it wasn’t a good session,” he says.
Lifestylz Fitness, located in the southwest corner shopping center at 71st and Sheridan, opened its doors in late July. Lee’s hours are extremely flexible; he can schedule personal training sessions from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, by appointment only. His current clients range from teenagers to those in their late 60s, and his passion lies in helping them achieve their fitness aspiration, whatever that may be. “Everyone has their own personal goals,” says Lee. “I can help you lose weight, gain muscle mass or simply improve your general health and fitness.”
Lee’s customers can expect an atmosphere that is welcoming and suited for one-on-one attention. The first step he takes is assessing a person’s goals and current fitness level. He then works with them to design a workout regimen, showing the proper ways to use their body and the equipment in order to achieve optimal results. Lee keeps the workouts varied, which makes things interesting and continually challenges the body, and he utilizes a variety of equipment: treadmill, elliptical machine, dumbbells, basic barbells, cable crossover and more. “I do results tracking with everyone so they can really see their success and how far they’ve come,” says Lee. “Another unique thing I offer is assisted stretching, which many personal trainers are not able to do.”
The holidays will be here before we know it, and with all the high-calorie treats and overindulging in food and alcohol, how can weight gain be avoided? “It’s important to focus on making the right choices,” says Lee. If your fitness goal is to make it through the holidays without an extra five pounds of flab, Lee’s personal training sessions, humor and encouragement can make it possible.
Getting into shape is truly life-changing, according to Danita, who became a client of Lee’s after witnessing the progress her daughter Jordan made with him in just a few months. “I saw a teenager who used to sit on the couch and watch TV, due to lack of energy, start to enjoy activities with her friends. She has a kidney disease, which caused her to be on medications and gain weight from the side effects. She has now lost a total of 40 pounds and has been taken off of five of her medications due to her improved kidney function,” says Danita. “I went from a size 12 to a size 6, but the best reward is having more energy, improved flexibility and reduced stress. Lee has done a wonderful job showing us how much we are capable of achieving. It has been a very positive experience that has changed the way we live.”
Lee began his career in personal training after sustaining an injury while in the Marine Corps. During his recovery he worked with a personal trainer and became fascinated with exercise physiology; he soon decided that it would be a meaningful and satisfying career path for him. Two years ago, Lee and his family moved from California to Jenks. He and his wife Kelly, also a former Marine, have a three-year-old daughter named Bentley.
If getting healthy and in shape is on your mind, call Lee to discuss personal training options. With a smile on his face, Lee explains what sets Lifestylz Fitness apart from everyone else: “I do!”
