You already know the facts - Christmas is coming, and it’s imperative you find the perfect gift for the special people in your life. No matter who it is, you simply can’t go wrong with a beautiful piece of jewelry. It is a gift that will be cherished for years to come.
J. David Jewelry offers a huge array of choices for any budget, starting at around $30 and going up to as much as you want to spend. Landon Wiland, marketing director, says the friendly staff is more than happy to spend as much time as needed with customers to help them find the ideal gift.
“When we’re helping a man who has that ‘deer in the headlights’ look, we first suggest two staples – does she have diamond stud earrings, and does she have pearls? These classic pieces can be worn at a black tie event or with jeans and a T-shirt to the grocery store. If she has both of those, we ask if she has a diamond in a pearl,” says Landon. “The diamond in a pearl has a lovely story behind it. When an oyster swallows a grain of sand, it eases the pain by applying a coat of nacre. It is from this healing process that a pearl is created. What’s amazing is that something so beautiful can be created out of so much discomfort. Like life itself, it is easy to love during good times, but it takes courage to love through the discomfort of our lives. The diamond represents the grain of sand and the pearl evokes an aura of courage, love and healing that is embedded deep within the soul. It is this unique transformation that gave birth to ‘Diamond in a Pearl,’ the symbol of love.”
Another stunning diamond option is a dancing diamond. “The twinkle setting is an innovative jewelry concept that allows the lightly suspended stone to continuously move, creating a constant sparkle from the swinging momentum,” says Landon.
Speaking of diamonds, Landon says the holidays are a very popular time for proposals, and J. David offers a stunning collection of engagement rings and wedding bands. “Every piece of jewelry available in the store is on our website,” he adds. “We also create custom, one of kind pieces with our computer-aided cad-cam. Once a design is completed, it is downloaded to a 3-D printer to produce a plastic mock up that is ultimately used in the production process of the custom design.”
If you have a smaller budget but still want to give something special, Alex & Ani bracelets start at $28 and come in a variety of designs and colors. “These bangle bracelets can be stacked and worn with anything. They are really trendy on the East and West Coasts right now and rapidly gaining in popularity across the United States.” Fossil watches are another excellent gift option for men and women, ranging in price from $65 to $300.
J. David’s Wish Lists are always popular, particularly during the holidays. Customers may add items to their list throughout the year. “This makes it easy to give someone exactly what they truly want,” says Landon. “We can pull up any customer’s Wish List at both of our locations.”
Over 20 years ago, owners Joel and Kendra Wiland opened J. David Jewelry in Broken Arrow. They added a second location in south Tulsa last year, and their son Landon joined the staff in 2012. Joel and Kendra are always available on site in each store – Joel in Broken Arrow and Kendra in Tulsa. J. David Jewelry offers extended hours for the holiday season and will be open on Christmas Eve.
