AVB Bank Board of Directors are thrilled to announce the promotion of Jamie Wheeler to serve as Senior Vice President – Treasury Management.
Since joining AVB Bank in 2013, Wheeler has served in multiple roles focused on the deposit growth of the Bank, including: personal banker, assistant branch manager, branch manager, cash management specialist, and treasury manager. In 2015, she was promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President and has held the position of Vice President since 2018.
As Senior Vice President of AVB’s Treasury Management Department, Wheeler is responsible for delivering integrated treasury solutions to commercial and business banking customers. She works closely with lenders and retail managers to deepen customer relationships by identifying, analyzing, and consulting on depository products and services, ensuring each customer receives the best customized solution. She has over 16-years of banking experience and 22-years of sales experience.
AVB Bank Chairman of the Board, Kelley Rash, stated, “Jamie is a true professional and dedicated to AVB, our customers, and our community.” Rash continued, “She is continually exceeding goals, upholding the mission of AVB, and elevating the customer service experience while demonstrating success.”
Wheeler’s most recent professional accolades include successfully graduating from the Oklahoma Bankers Association (OBA) Emerging Leaders program in 2019, a program focused on engaging bank leaders in the process of dealing with issues facing the banking industry and the increased ability to serve and advocate for our customers. Upon completion of the OBA Intermediate School of Banking, Wheeler represented AVB in the multi-year Graduate School of Banking in Colorado (GSBC), graduating summer of 2024. In addition, she earned her Certified Treasury Management Certification in 2022.
Through her participation in both Leadership Broken Arrow (Class of 2017) and Leadership Tulsa (Class 62), Wheeler has actively explored the communities where she lives and works and how she can make a difference and positive impact. Wheeler is a passionate advocate and supporter of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce (BACC) and has previously served as a multi-year Ambassador, Ambassador Chair, Total Resource Campaign leader and Miss Rooster Days and Miss Chick Pageant Chair. She was honored by the BACC in 2019 as Volunteer of the Year and in 2023 as the Total Resource Campaign Top Performer for Increased Sales.
Wheeler is currently serving her second term on the Tulsa Zoo Board of Directors and is a founding member of Forward Networking Broken Arrow.
She is a Broken Arrow High School (BAHS) and Oklahoma State University (OSU) alum.
