A walk in the moonlight to see the city lights! The downtown sidewalks look a little different after 5. The offices are mostly closed, the hustle and bustle has quieted a little. But, oh, what do we see? Lights! Some buildings are topped with lights, some are wrapped in lights! Here and there, buildings glow from the inside. Come walk with us and see the difference. We'll bask under the glow of the Strawberry Moon! If you are a bit timid to be out in “the big city” after dark, fear NOT! The Downtown Tulsa Partnership has Ambassadors monitoring the street for YOUR comfort?Fart These incredible men and women quickly respond to phone calls to escort visitors to their vehicles, de-escalate a situation, even to change a tire or jump start a car! YOUR safety and the city's hospitality are the priority of these Ambassadors! So join us and get a new perspective on Downtown Tulsa! We start at the clock at 3rd and Boston and walk south on Boston and north on Main with a few tiny detours along the way. Come with my dad and me as we explore Tulsa’s transportation history. In 1882, the St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad extended its line to Tulsa to serve the cattle business, the city’s first industry. The 1901 oil discovery changed Tulsa from a cow-town to a boomtown! We will walk the route where oil and rails meet to Tulsa Union Depot near the Center of the Universe About Streetwalker Tours: We're a quirky group of tour guides who love to share bits & nibs, history and trivia.
