Karen Cable of the Broken Arrow JBF franchise invites you to participate in her next sale by logging on to www.jbfsale.com and clicking on Broken Arrow. She says participating and earning are easy at her sale.
Great deals to be found at the Broken Arrow Community Center. Broken Arrow is holding its Just Between Friends (JBF) shopping and selling opportunity, all under one roof and with prices that are way below retail. The event will be held for four days, April 12 - 15, at the Broken Arrow Community Center located at 1500 S. Main.
JBF specializes in high quality, nearly-new children’s and maternity merchandise. This includes: children’s and maternity clothing, toys, baby equipment, books and more. The event is held twice a year, once between the spring and summer and the other between the fall and winter seasons. Furniture, software, videos, shoes and clothes for teens are also available.
Karen Cable has been the owner of Broken Arrow’s JBF franchise since 2005 and had worked at the Tulsa sale since the spring of 2001. Her goal is to expand the sale to a week long event and enjoys the challenges and the satisfaction that JBF brings.
“The more I worked at the Tulsa sale and learned about the organization, the more I wanted to be a part of this,” says Cable. “No other work I have ever done has brought me so much joy. So much good comes from these events.” We have partnered with Broken Arrow Neighbors so they can benefit from donations from the event. Last fall JBF had a record number of items that were donated. They had so much that the items had to be distributed to various other charities. We love being able to give back to the community.
Benefits do not only go to the shoppers. Many parents have drawers full of their baby and children’s clothing that they have outgrown, and this event gives them a chance to make some money from those items that are simply taking up space. Consignors price and tag their own items and receive 70 percent of the selling price. The consigner is not even required to be present at the sale, as sale organizers and volunteers work the entire event. Consignors receive a check from their sales approximately two weeks after the event. Each consignor receives the unique opportunity in the form of a pre-sale pass, which will allow them to browse and shop before JBF is open to the public.
The location offers over 18,000 square feet of shopping space, and volunteers and first-time mothers can also participate in the pre-sale opportunity. The sale takes place on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday and a half-price sale on Sunday.
Shoppers will need to bring their own container in which to store items for purchase, such as a laundry basket or tub. (Please no strollers!) Customers may also bring donations for the Broken Arrow Neighbors Organization such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, toilet paper, powdered laundry detergent, soap, combs and razors for free entrance into the sale. There is a $2 admission without donation, and the various forms of payment are cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
