Kiyla Fenell and her husband, Dr. Robert Fenell.
Kiyla Fenell came to a crossroads in her life last January. Her young son was seriously ill and was hospitalized for nine days, prompting her to embark on a search for natural health solutions. Among them? Essential oils.
She knew how they had been used for centuries in different cultures, and how many of the plants were the basis of how our modern medicines formed. There were plenty of essential oils in big box discount stores and at every corner drug store. But what she did not realize is that essential oils were not all the same. There was actually a huge difference in how the oils were made, the quality of the plants, how they were harvested and more.
That led Kiyla to a company that has become the largest essential oil producer in the world. She learned how the purity of their oils set them apart. While others typically include synthetic substances, these oils are certified pure.
Her husband, Bob, was skeptical about introducing these oils into their household. But Kiyla kept questioning the company’s top trainers, and she got answers that made sense. Most importantly, the oils made a positive difference when she tried them.
Kiyla posted her experiences on social media. “I thought just a few people would see my posts,” she recalls. But suddenly she was bombarded with questions. People from all over the country wanted to know how she did this and that. What are the dilution rates? Almost overnight, the stay-at-home mother of three, who until now had only home schooled her children, found herself teaching others the benefits of using essential oils. “All I intended to do was help my family. So many others needed help too,” she says.
According to Kiyla, these essential oils are: Pure and natural, with aromatic compounds carefully extracted from plants; Free from fillers or artificial ingredients and in dilution of active qualities; Free of contaminants, pesticides or chemical residues; Rigorously tested for standards of chemical composition; Cross tested using mass spectrometry and gas chromatography to ensure exact purity and composition potency; Sourced by a global network of leading essential oil chemists and growers to ensure correct species, growth in ideal environments and that raw plant materials were carefully harvested at the right time.
Every batch of these essential oils is subjected to strict requirements to ensure potency, purity and consistency from batch to batch.
The essential oils can be used in many different ways for many purposes. They can be used topically or aromatically. Some are FDA approved for ingestion. Kiyla offers them individually or in specialized kits that include natural cleaning without harmful chemicals.
Kiyla’s new-found passion for teaching evolved into four classes a week at local health food stores. She holds a weekly evening session at her husband’s chiropractic clinic, as well as online classes. Recent topics for the online classes were “Bathroom Makeovers” and “Cooking with Essential Oils.”
