Services are provided on a walk-in basis, without charge to all job seekers. “With our assistance, you will develop an effective job search strategy, in addition to receiving information on area employers, job fairs, and hiring events,” says Nancy Webster, director of community relations for Goodwill Industries of Tulsa.
You can expect assistance in developing resumes, cover letters and reference pages; interview skills assistance; knowledge of what employers expect; computer access for online job search and applications; online tutorials and skills assessment; assistance with setting up an email account and uploading resumes; and basic equipment availability such as photocopier and fax machine.
Since opening in 2010, Goodwill Job Connection has assisted more than 10,000 job seekers with their career needs. More than 2,700 of those found employment at over 1,000 different employers in and around the Tulsa area, and nearly 1,000 veterans utilized Goodwill Job Connection services in their career search. The numbers have continued to grow each year.
