Tony Sementi at his showroom in Catoosa.
Summer is in full swing, and now is the time to get moving on any plans for remodeling. Fall’s rain will be here before we know it. For those in search of quality craftsmanship from workers you can feel comfortable welcoming into your home, Tile by Tony is the first call to make.
Tony Sementi opened his business in 1982 with an emphasis on tile work. Gradually, he realized it made sense to take on larger bathroom and kitchen projects, and began applying his skill and eye for detail beyond the tile work he’d become known for. With his wife, Debbie, running the office and daughters holding down the fort at the showroom, Sementi’s family makes up the foundation of Tile by Tony. Over the years, he’s picked up craftsmen as if recruiting players for a playoff run. Today, his crew is a dream team of sorts, winning over clients with results that boast the finest quality work in the region. As with any successful team, coaching is as important as the individual players.
Sementi has invested precious time and energy into training his workers, and is not the type to supervise from behind a desk. “I’m real hands on, and that makes a difference,” he says. Tony visits each project site every day to be sure everything is running smoothly and everyone is on the same page. And with very low turnover amongst his crew, Sementi is confident in plans being executed with the same degree of accuracy and attention to detail that brought him early success.
“We want things to last,” he says. After all, what good is it to do a job that will not hold up to years of use and living?
“We focus on doing things the right way,” says Sementi. “If you think hiring a professional is expensive, wait until you hire an amateur to do the job.” And this is the idea to keep in mind as you consider whether to do it yourself, hire a professional, or take a chance on that friend of a coworker you keep hearing about at the water cooler. “You’ve got to know these people are going to be friendly and safe,” Sementi adds.
The crew at Tile by Tony is courteous, clean, professional and trustworthy. From the floors you walk on to the air your family breathes, the crew will ensure your home remains safe and clean throughout the project.
But you don’t have to take Sementi’s word for it. Tile by Tony has received five awards from Angie’s List, a website that compiles members’ reviews of companies and their services. Additionally, the Better Business Bureau has named Tile by Tony to its Honor Roll. Stop in at the showroom in Catoosa and get a hands-on look at various materials and fixtures.
