Peter and the Star Catcher

Peter and the Star Catcher Opens at TCC February 27-March 2 If you’ve ever wondered how Peter Pan learned to fly and gained eternal youth, all is revealed in “Peter and the Starcatcher.” The whimsical award winning Broadway play tells the backstory of not only Peter but also Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys, the villainous Captain Hook, a notorious crocodile and other figures associated with Neverland. The Tulsa Community College theatre production runs February 27-28, March 1 at 8pm and March 2nd at 2pm in the VanTrease PACE Main Stage on the Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus. Based on a 2004 children’s novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the play centers on a young orphan and his friends who are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island. At sea, the boys are discovered by a precocious young girl named Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training. She’s part of a secret society tasked with protecting a magical dust of extraordinary power known as “starstuff.” Their bravery will be sorely tested by a group of pirates led by the fearsome Black Stache — later to become Captain Hook. The play, exploring duty, love and the bonds of friendship, serves as a prequel to the classic Peter Pan stories by Scottish novelist and playwright J.M. Barrie. The 18-actor ensemble playing a total of about fifty gender bending roles in addition to occasionally serving as inanimate objects, such as doors and walls. The play is family friendly. Tulsa Ballet presents: Alice in Wonderland

Live From Ireland: The Tulsa IrishFest Kickoff

Tulsa IrishFest is almost here… so let’s kickoff the fun a little early! Two of our Irish musicians, Conor Mallon and his band, and Sina Theil, will be in Tulsa Monday evening, March 3rd, for a special performance at the Mabee Center. You will find yourself transported to Ireland through their beautiful music; and you will discover how truly friendly the people of Ireland are as you visit with these engaging artists. So of course, you will want to return to Tulsa IrishFest on March 8th & 9th to hear your new Irish friends again on stage.

First Friday Art Crawl
Monthly on the First Friday | 6 - 9 p.m.

Since 2007, the Tulsa Arts District has presented the community with rotating art displays as part of the monthly First Friday Art Crawl events. Every first Friday of the month, visitors can explore artwork inside galleries, studios and museums and catch a few live music performances or even an exciting fireworks display. As an added bonus, art crawlers can take advantage of free museum and gallery admission while shopping later than normal business hours would allow. Hit the district early for dinner, or stay a little later for a craft cocktail best enjoyed on an outdoor patio.

Philbrook Wine Experience: Sip Into Spring

The Philbrook Wine Experience weekend brings internationally renowned vintners, more than 20 regional restaurants and an impressive auction together under one roof to create one of the top ten wine events in the nation. Meet winemakers, enjoy wine and stroll to private homes in the Philbrook neighborhood during the Wine Walk on Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, attend a variety of seminars designed to deepen your knowledge of wine as top winemakers lend their insight into the art and science of creating the world’s best wines. Enjoy tasting the fruits of their labor as more than 50 renowned vintners and regional restaurants team up to create unparalled high-energy happy hour experiences. Come back Saturday for a lively cocktail hour, followed by a world-class dining experience. Art Crawl on 66

Experience art up close during the Art Crawl on 66 in Tulsa as artists bring imagination to life at local businesses. On the second Friday of the month from April to December, musicians, performers, and visual artists will inspire patrons as they browse businesses and vendor booths. Kick the weekend off with a tour of historic places along The Mother Road, enjoying local restaurants and taking in the sights and sounds of Tulsa's art scene.

Stay Gold Session: Botanical Illustrations
March 28-31, 2025 | 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Learn the art of botanical illustration rooted in refined drawing techniques and color studies. Your instructor will share key elements of this artform and guide you through self-selected subjects to illustrate using colored pencils on archival paper. Participants will complete 3-4 finished illustrations.
