Terri Musser of Simply Scrapbooks has been offering her customers personal service and expert product knowledge for over six years.
Have you ever wandered through the scrapbook section of a big discount store and wished someone could explain to you how the products are used? Have you stood in the aisle reading a product box for 20 minutes and then asked for help, only to have the sales clerk glance at the box and shrug? Simply Scrapbooks is here to help. They offer an enormous selection of tools and materials, competitive prices and extensive product knowledge.
Terri Musser is celebrating six years at her Simply Scrapbooks store, located in Claremore’s Ne-Mar Center. The cheery store is filled with natural light and displays that are both inspiring and informative. Each display highlights different ideas and products and how they can be used to preserve your family’s history.
Terri and her staff are passionate about scrapbooking and all things related. They provide personal service to customers and possess first-hand experience with the store’s huge assortment of scrapbooking and stamping tools.
Scrapbook enthusiasts are increasing in numbers each year, and May has been declared National Scrapbooking Month. Simply Scrapbooks will celebrate with two special days, May 3 and 24. Special classes will demonstrate stamping, tools and techniques. The celebrations will include prizes, make and takes and refreshments. Pre-registration is encouraged, because classes will fill up fast.
Simply Scrapbooks offers a variety of classes and weekly crops. A calendar of events is always available on their website. Make and takes allow you to leave the store with a completed project in a short amount of time, and the free beginner classes provide even the most hesitant learner with a handle on the basics. Adults are not the only ones crazy about scrapbooking these days – kids’ classes are also popular. Simply Scrapbooks hosts a Kids Club, which meets the last Sunday of every month.
Graduation season is in full swing, and Simply Scrapbooks has everything you need to make beautiful and unique gifts. “We carry scrapbook paper that is personalized for many of the area schools, including Verdigris, Sequoyah, Foyil, Oologah, Inola, Chelsea and of course Claremore,” said Terri.
Terri mentions that she’s had some funny conversations with suppliers when ordering red and white zebra paper for Claremore High School. “One supplier called to tell me that I needed to adjust the color on my monitor,” she laughs.
The Canvas Collection is a new scrapbooking line that Terri is really excited about. It involves using paper art on actual canvas to create a wall album. It is easier than you might think and provides a wonderful avenue for personalized gifts.
Wall words are also available at Simply Scrapbooks. There are many ready-made quotes to choose from, or you can custom order from a huge array of colors, sizes and fonts. With the look of hand-painted lettering, these cut vinyl letters are easy to install and can be used in any room in the house or to personalize lockers, offices, mirrors, canisters, album covers and more. “One customer used our custom lettering to make treat jars for her friends’ pets as Christmas gifts. It was adorable and very affordable,” said Terri. Prices range from 50 cents to $25 for the readymade wall words, and prices for custom-made words can be found at the store.
While scrapbookers have numerous options these days, Terri hopes you will stop by and see what her store has to offer. “With our punch card program, personal service and great selection, you get much more than you pay for at Simply Scrapbooks.”
