Michael Burke Joins AVB Bank Board of Directors

AVB Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Burke to the AVB Bank Board of Directors, as shared by Chairman of the Board Kelley Rash and President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ted Cundiff.

About Michael Burke

Burke is the managing partner at Briscoe, Burke & Grigsby LLP, a leading Certified Public Accountants (CPA) firm based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The firm offers a comprehensive suite of accounting, tax, and business support services to clients in Tulsa and the surrounding communities. Their expertise extends to auditing, consulting, and attestation engagements, aimed at helping businesses and individuals navigate complex financial needs.

Burke, a seasoned CPA with more than 37 years of experience, specializes in serving industries such as oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, service, and not-for-profit. He joined Briscoe, Burke & Grigsby LLP in 1987 as a tax senior, progressing to managing partner in 1996. Under his leadership, the firm has experienced significant growth, including successful acquisition negotiations and management of multi-state oil and gas tax filings.

Burke is an alumnus of Oklahoma State University (OSU), where he earned both his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master of Science (M.S.) in Accountancy. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs. In addition to his professional endeavors, Burke has served as Treasurer for several organizations and non-profits, further reflecting his dedication to community service.
