Moore Vehicles at New Dealership

If you’re in the mood to ­experience that new car smell, or you and your family are ready to search for a quality pre-owned vehicle, here’s some exciting news. East Tulsa Dodge on South Memorial Drive provided automotive sales and service to the Tulsa area for many years. Effective September 20 of this year, the dealership became Bob Moore Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram of Tulsa.

According to “Automotive News” (October 3, 2011), “U.S. auto sales increased 10 percent in September despite strong ­economic headwinds. Among the biggest companies, Chrysler set the pace with a 27 percent advance, giving it 18 straight months of higher volume.” The article further states that ­tracking data shows that buyers are looking for value and have a new attitude that says, “I still don’t know about the economy, but I’m going to buy a new car anyhow.”

A long-time automotive manager in the Tulsa market, Ken Wilkins is general manager of the new Bob Moore ­dealership. He joined the ­organization in November of 2010 and was general manager of Bob Moore Nissan of Tulsa prior to the transfer. “It’s great being associated with the Bob Moore tradition of quality,” he said. “The organization has deep roots in Oklahoma and began selling automobiles in 1972. It’s a name you know and a company in which you can place your trust.”

Wilkins and his staff are excited about new product ­offerings in their 2012 lineup and added that the dealership has received an extra allocation of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles because of the change of ownership. The ­official grand opening was held on October 13, 2011, and will run through the end of the year. Their special ­allocation includes over 50 new Jeep Wranglers that have been in short supply and difficult to find. “Our goal is to provide the highest value and quality in sales and service in the Tulsa automotive market,” says Wilkins.

Fixed Operations Director Donnie Pelkey directs activities in the service department, and Service Advisors Fermon Hansel, Anthony Vendetti and Joe Baker meet and greet customers on the drive as they pull in for service and scheduled maintenance. Wilkins says that the shop’s ­service technicians have over 100 years of experience, and four are factory Certified Master Technicians. The service ­department also has a full truck and diesel shop.

You can also pull into the Quick Lube area in the service department for oil changes and related services with a less-than-30-minute wait, according to Wilkins. And you can watch the services as they are performed through a window in the lounge area.

The Bob Moore team is excited about the new dealership and looks forward to putting you in the driver’s seat of one of their new or pre-owned vehicles. Each employee would like ­nothing ­better than to be allowed to demonstrate their commitment to exceptional ­customer service.
