Employees Kalyn Barnoski and Brooke Rice display the Lollia line, available at J & J Pharmacy and Gifts in Claremore’s Ne-Mar Shopping Center.
Christmas shopping can be such a headache! You want to give unique gifts, but it seems every place carries the same ordinary items. You want to avoid driving as much as possible, especially in holiday traffic, but getting from store to store inevitably requires a vehicle. And of course you want some great bargains, but prices always go up around the holidays. This year, why not avoid the headache and these common shopping pitfalls? Finish your holiday list at Ne-Mar’s Holiday Open House on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8. The center’s dozens of stores will be having great promotions and sales for all your seasonal needs.
Be sure to stop by J & J Pharmacy and Gifts, where you’re certain to check off a few names on your list. Owners John and Patsy Daniel love being around people and treat their customers like they are part of their extended family.
J & J is brimming with quality, affordable gift items and decorative accessories. “We have many new products we’re really excited about,” says sales associate Helen Stratton. “Lollia is a luxurious line of perfumes, lotions, bath products and candles that is very popular right now. Lollia has been featured in several magazines, and was chosen as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in ‘O’ magazine.”
Other brands include Vera Bradley, a lightweight yet stylish purse and luggage line, as well as PJ Harlow satin and knit sleepwear that is so comfy, you’ll want to wear your pajamas all day long. The store also carries gorgeous Arthur Court polished aluminum serving pieces, perfect for holiday parties. Specialty Christmas ornaments from Christopher Radko and Old World Christmas will give your holiday décor a truly spectacular look.
Cindy Rickard, owner of Emily’s Playhouse in Ne-Mar, recently added an art center to her children’s store.
Also check out J & J’s Barefoot Dreams robes and throws, Spode dishes, Macryl crystal, Christine Alexander jean jackets and shirts made with real Swarovski crystals, Caldrea cleaning products, Poo-Pourri air fresheners, Caspari paper goods, Anne Koplik jewelry, and all the other amazing gifts available. For more information, call (918) 341-1184.
For the children on your list, Emily’s Playhouse is a great place to visit. Owner Cindy Rickard will be featuring promotions and fun activities during both Open House days. “I’ll have discounts and be giving away door prizes for anyone who makes a purchase,” says Cindy.
Emily’s Playhouse has recently added a new art center with a large line of art supplies by Alex – perfect for the little artist in your family!
The Playhouse has an extensive inventory of toys, puzzles, games and dolls. “We now have Darda racetracks and motorized cars that don’t require batteries. They’re really neat,” says Cindy. “We also have Steiff bears, the original teddy bears from Germany, which would make really special Christmas gifts.”
Emily’s Playhouse carries a huge variety of trendy clothing for kids – boys’ sizes newborn to 7 and girls’ sizes newborn to 16. Brands include Roxy Girl, Cach Cach, Baby Nay, Le Top, Rothschild, Eddie Bauer, Quiksilver and CR Sport. Call the store at (918) 343-BABY to find out more.
Another great place to shop during Ne-Mar’s Open House is Hallmark. “Hallmark starts its holiday season that weekend,” says manager Patty Peyton. “We will have lots of promotions and different Christmas items available. Returning this year is the singing snowman, which you receive with the purchase of three cards.”
One of Hallmark’s newest lines is Halia jewelry from Italy. “These beautiful sterling silver charms and bracelets have been sold in Canada and are new to the U.S.,” says Patty. “The store even keeps an index card tracking which charms you purchase, so you don’t accidentally buy someone the same charm twice. The charms will also fit Pandora bracelets.”
Hallmark is famous for its awesome seasonal selection and is a must-stop on your shopping excursion. Call (918) 342-1140 for more information.
Ne-Mar Shopping Center houses 31 different stores and restaurants and is located in the heart of Claremore at 1000 W. Will Rogers Blvd. Don’t miss the Ne-Mar Holiday Open House November 7 and 8!
