Danny Pavey conceived Dezign Plus in 2003, but his career stretches back far beyond that time.

Dezign Plus owner Danny Pavey has been doing residential designs for more than 30 years. He opened his business in 2003.

Danny Pavey conceived Dezign Plus in 2003, but his career stretches back far beyond that time. He graduated from Oklahoma State Tech and was employed by Cities Service Oil Company in the architectural department during the 70s and 80s. During that period, Danny was involved with the development and design of their very successful Quik Mart stores. He later did a lot of traveling for the company, particularly in the states of Utah and Wyoming,

to design protective structures to cover gas compressors that would fail when exposed to moisture. Pavey spent 27 years with Cities Service Oil Company, building a solid foundation in design.

Pavey has also actively freelanced as a designer since 1969, specializing in residential concepts. “I originally had friends and family asking if I could help put their ideas and dreams for a home into an actual plan,” says Pavey. It didn’t take long for word to spread, and others began coming to him for help with plans for their dream homes, additions or remodels. “Dezign Plus just seemed the natural progression and the next step in my career,” says Pavey.

Danny Pavey’s objective has always been to design homes that will exceed the clients’ expectations and still fall within budget guidelines.

If you’ve been sketching ideas for a new home, an addition, or a remodeling project and have reached a point where you know what you want to achieve but need help finalizing it, Pavey can assist you. Pavey says that a lot of customers come to him with roughly-drawn concepts and mental images of what they are looking for. “These clients have truly done their research, making it relatively easy for me to take what they have collected and put the ideas, sketches and photos into actual floor plans and elevations.”

Some unusual Dezign Plus projects have been for people whose homes were destroyed or damaged by storms or fires. Often the only thing left is the pad, which is still in perfectly good condition. Pavey can take the existing pad and lay out a new floor plan to fit it, an approach that can save homeowners money.

Other projects have included adding mother-in-law quarters and master bedroom suites. And with many family members moving back home because of current economic conditions, a remodel with another outside entrance is an attractive alternative Pavey can provide.

Be assured that all Dezign Plus concepts are customized, and Pavey works directly with the homebuilder or the homeowner. Square footage of most projects falls anywhere between 1,200 to 7,000, but no project is too big or too small.

Danny Pavey is a native of Collinsville and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He has done business throughout northeastern Oklahoma and would like the opportunity to help make your dreams come true.
