Things are moving onward and upward in the Owasso area, and for Adana and Jason Gittelman, business is moving right along with it. The owners of Fit For Her report enormous growth for their fitness center. “Business is better this year than any of the seven-plus years we’ve been open,” says Adana. “We’re flourishing in spite of a bad economy and appreciate our members and staff for getting us here.”
The Gittelmans would like to let everyone know about the continuing expansion of their line of nutritional products for everyone. The products are currently displayed in the office suite located next to Fit For Her, and Jason and Adana want to be sure men know they are every bit as welcome as women to visit this shop. “We’ve expanded our supplement business to service both men and women,” Jason says, listing product lines such as VPX, BSN, Giant, CTD Labs, Metabolic Nutrition, MAN Sports, High Tech, Cellucor and many more. “We guarantee to meet or beat any prices in the local market.”
This commitment to providing cost effective health and fitness solutions is also apparent at Fit for Her, as Adana and her staff of highly qualified personal trainers will now offer group personal training sessions. Adana explains that groups as small as three ladies can purchase an hour of time with a personal trainer for an individually discounted rate of only $20 a person. “We’re offering this to make personal training more affordable,” says Adana.
One member of the highly qualified staff at Fit for Her is also a member of the Gittelman family and is reporting some enormous personal and professional growth of her own. Jason and Adana’s daughter Brittany, who oversees evening operations at Fit For Her, recently won the physique competition at the Europa Super Show in Dallas, Texas in August.
Brittany is not new to the competition scene – she won Teen Fitness at the Oklahoma NPC Championships (a national qualifier) at age 15 and then again at age 19, as well as winning the all around competition. Brittany also won Battle of the Bodies teen and open competitions the same year. But Brittany describes the Europa Super Show as “the largest competition I’ve ever done” and feels that it has presented the biggest challenge, as she now has a small child and maintains full-time employment. “It was a bit risky because I decided to do this on the spur of the moment in July of this year, which only gave me seven weeks to train,” Brittany relates. “But people encouraged me to compete, and I accepted the challenge and was able to win!” This championship has inspired Brittany to compete on the national level within the next year, propelling her toward her goal of becoming a professional.
Brittany is in good company among the Fit For Her staff. Kayla Sheeley, who is in charge of morning operations, is currently training for the Grand Prix, a national qualifier competition held in Oklahoma City in November.
This quest for personal excellence is par for the course with staff members at Fit For Her, as instructors, trainers and staff members work toward personal goals that will help them set good examples for those they are working with.
Adana adds, “We as owners and staff alike share a personal interest in helping everyone we serve achieve their goals, no matter how large or small those goals may seem. We also have the combined knowledge, desire and facility to do just that. We make fitness fun here with 17 classes each week, a clean, state-of-the-art facility and the greatest staff in the industry.”
