Nik Duffle
The Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation has hired Nik Duffle to serve as the organization’s vice president of economic development. Duffle comes to BAEDC after spending three years as the Project Manager at the Bloomington-Normal Economic Development Council in Central Illinois. During his time at the BNEDC, Duffle focused on business attraction, fostering developer relationships and laying the groundwork for new expansions in the region. Key responsibilities included the strategic planning of a new industrial park, serving on the Illinois State University Innovation & Entrepreneurship Steering Committee, and overseeing new project expansions in Bloomington-Normal.
“Broken Arrow is a thriving and growing community that is leading the charge in economic and workforce development,” Duffle said, adding that he and his fiancé felt at home in Broken Arrow.
“My fiancé’ and I are beyond excited and are truly honored to join the Broken Arrow community. We look forward to continuing on the success of the BA Economic Development Corporation,” he continued.
BAEDC and Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jennifer Conway said Duffle was a good fit for the organization, community and position.
“Nik’s background brings a valuable resource to Broken Arrow,” Conway said. “He will step into this position and will undoubtedly play an important role in helping build the BA economy.”
Prior to his role in economic development, Duffle served in the Illinois Governor's Office as the Deputy Director of Advance. He is a graduate of the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute, an IEDC accredited certificate course that provides coursework and training for professional economic developers. He attended Millikin University in Decatur, IL. where he played Division III baseball and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business management.
Duffle was born and raised on a farm in Central Illinois. He is an avid woodworker and owns/operates a small, part-time custom woodworking shop. He and his fiancé, Ryan, have three dogs and enjoy traveling. Ryan is a high school English teacher and is currently pursuing her master's degree in education from Illinois State University.
